  • Introducing cats?

I’m moving in with my boyfriend in a few weeks and I’m brining my one year old Maine coon kitten with me. My boyfriend has two cats. Not sure of their breed. However his two cats do not get along at all. They always fight whenever they see each other. One cat is an outdoor cat so she’s rarely inside and when she is she’s only upstairs. The other cat is an indoor cat and she goes everywhere except upstairs. My kitten hasn’t been around other kittens other than when she was at the humane society. There’s a neighbor cat that I’ve let me kitten see through the front door a couple of times and my kitten never hissed or growled. She just sniffed and was very interested. I’m worried that my cat and my boyfriends cat won’t get along. I’m not too worried about the cat that goes outside as I don’t think my cat and her will ever meet too often and I’m sure it’ll be friendlier. I’ve watched a ton of videos on how to introduce cats, I’m just worried his cat will not ever adjust to my kitten as she hasn’t adjusted to the other cat. I cannot leave my kitten behind or have her rehomed. What should I do?

  • Customer not wearing mask?

I work in a grocery store and the last few weeks I’ve seen this woman repeatedly come in without a mask. Last week I pointed at my mask and asked her “where’s yours”, all she did was shrug her shoulders and kept walking. I’ve never been told what to do about customers without masks. And my managers seem to just ignore it. I know it’s just one person, but before covid my life revolved around live music, and festivals. I was going to upwards of three concerts a week. And it was deeply influencing my creativity in my art. Because people haven’t been wearing their masks my state might have to go on lockdown again. With concerts already not happening, the only thing I’ve had to look forward to this year is snowboarding. Some resorts have already delayed their opening days originally planned and and the fear of an impending lockdown is really getting to me. All she has to do is wear her mask for twenty minutes. I want to refuse her service next time but I’m worried I’ll get in trouble. If my managers already don’t have a problem with it, me bringing it up to them with my concerns probably won’t do anything. Is there anything I can do to get her out of my store or get her to wear a mask?

  • Depressed mum?

My mum had a really rough childhood and the deep mental wounds that left still affect her heavily today. I’ve seen a huge decline in my mum over the years. She’s because really really depressed lately and although I give her plenty of options to help herself she doesn’t do any of them. It’s getting to the point where I worry about her health. I’ve thought about getting her into inpatient treatment but with no insurance or income besides her (I’m a full time college student and it’s hard for me to fit a job into my schedule) I’m unsure of what to do. I want her to try getting therapy but she’s adamant that it won’t help her. I’ve exhausted all options and I’m unsure of where to go.

  • Ballot Info?

I just turned 18 and I’ve received my ballot. I’m trying to study up on the US Senators to make sure I pick the best one. However I’m having trouble finding the info on them I’m looking for. Are there any videos, websites or articles that will give me unbiased information on each of the candidates or any websites that make it easier on younger voters to get information?

  • How to apologize to my mom?

For the past 5 years my life has been very confusing. I never went to school, had no plans for my future, and I was severely depressed. I started dating my boyfriend who comes from a lovely home. He’s very driven, great scholar, and a ball of sunshine. I began comparing our lives. I started to think that reason I wasn’t successful in life was due to the way my parents raised me. I was very coddled as a child and my parents got me out of any problem I got myself into. They’d let me stay home from school, and even when I got court dates for continuous absences my mom (who works allllll the time) couldn’t get me to go to school. I’ve never been good at school and I’ve always struggled a lot. My mom and I would fight all the time over this. I would blame her for not setting me up for life, and we would always say some really hurtful things. It wasn’t until recently I discovered I have severe ADHD. I started researching and every single success issue I’ve ever had was a direct cause of my ADHD. I’m realizing that I’ve put the blame on my mom for so many years all because I couldn’t figure out what the hell was wrong with me. I feel so awful I’ve been so cruel to her and I don’t know how to make it up to her. What should I do?

  • Constipation?

I’ve been constipated for almost two weeks. I’ve been taking laxatives almost everyday to try to get it out but I noticed that I produce more natural bowel movements when I haven’t taken the laxatives. I’m not in any pain or discomfort but it’s getting to the point where I think I should see a doctor. Should I try to let my body naturally dispose of it? Or should I just go to the doctor?

  • Constipated? Scared of doctors ?

I ate about 12 French toast sticks a week and three days ago. For the first maybe three days I was so sick. Had a fever, was throwing up, and had severe abdominal pain. Ok the fourth day I took miralax and the symptoms seemed to have subsided. I took about three cap fulls daily up until about four day’s ago and went down to two. I’ve had small soft bowel movements but nothing large. I’m terrified of going to the doctors due to some trauma I faced there a few years ago. I have bubbling in my tummy. No pain or nausea. I just don’t think I’ve passed anything substantial in about a week or so. I’m not sure what to do and I’m scared of going to the doctor. What should I do?

  • Driving without my physical license ?

I’m 18, and just passed my driving test through a third party driver school. They’ve sent my data to the dmv and given me a paper that confirms my test and my passing grade. There are NO appointments available at all to get into the DMV. Would I be okay to drive while I’m waiting for an appointment to open to have my license printed? Or should I just wait?

  • Pulled over?

So I just passed my driving test woohoo! My car is ready to go. But since I got tested through a third party provider (not the dmv) I have to go to the dmv to have my picture taken and my DL printed out. However there’s not a single appointment open until next year. Let’s say I did drive and got pulled over for whatever reason. Would I get into serious trouble for not having my physical DL even though I’ve passed my test and am just waiting?

  • Ideal treatment plan for hypothetical patient ?

Hypothetically. Let’s say a 47 year old woman, is suffering from severe 10 year long addiction to opiates. As well as 20 year long eating disorder of bulimia. She lives off protein shakes and doesn’t eat. Her mental health is deteriorating and has been since a rough childhood. What would the first plan of action be to getting this woman recovered correctly?
