Urgent!! My older brother died of cancer Friday morning.?
I had spent the week at an out-of-town hospital waiting with my brother, my sister, my mother, and my older brother's wife and family. Something I said or did infuriated my inlaws and they practically threw me out of the hospital...just short of asking me to leave. I don't know what I did, specifically, or said..but I do know my sick brother was never very fond of me and could become quite agitated easily..especially suffering dementia, as he was. I don't know what to do now. It seems like my younger brother has joined my inlaws in ostracizing me and these certain family members won't even speak to me. Should I attend the funeral? I don't want to cause any more pain to them. The funeral is out of town and I have to take my mother to the funeral, but I suppose my sister from out of town could come out of her way and pick her up...help!!!!5 AnswersFamily1 decade ago
I have a 20 by 40 front yard that has a 3 foot terrace across the front from street level. City codes say a fence can't be higher than 3 foot (six feet total from street level). Any ideas what I can plant or install to give us more privacy and less street noise?2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade ago
I demoed the closet wall to put closet doors in and have it down to the studs. I found two wires running down a bare stud to an old light bulb socket fixture and I want to remove this fixture and cap off the wiring. Do I put a junction box on one of the studs, run the wires through it and cap it off with safety nuts and then cap the box? Do I need to leave the junction box cap flush with the drywall for access?3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade ago
