I am considering opening an infant only home daycare in Southern California. The ratio would be four infants to one caregiver, which is the typical ratio for home daycares as well as daycare centers in California. I am a qualified preschool teacher, having taken early childhood education courses, am infant and child CPR/First Aid certified, and would be a fully licensed home daycare. I have experience as a preschool teacher and nanny and have worked in multiple centers as an infant teacher, where the ratio has been four to one. The home daycare would be infants only, so there would not be older children running around, and only four infants will be in the household at one time, so that each baby will have quality time. I would provide homemade baby food, solid food for the older infants, formula, and bottles. The daycare would be set up with high quality materials and a crib designated for each baby. What should I charge per week? (Remember, it's southern california where everything is quite expensive)3 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years ago
I am currently in the process of buying an affordable used car and am considering the 2000 Suzuki Vitara JLS. It is automatic and is the 4-door hard-top version. It has 112,000 miles. Are there any big problems with this type of vehicle that I should know about? Would this be a quality car? I haven't been able to find much information about this particular type of Vitara (it is not the Grand). Does anyone know if this car is okay?1 AnswerSuzuki9 years ago
I am a college student and winter break is coming up. I have a 5 gallon tank with two goldfish. Winter break is about a month long, and during this time I will be flying home. Everything in my dorm must be unplugged and the heater will not be on (it gets pretty cold here). I had arranged for a friend to drive them down to where I live (she lives there too), but she has backed out at the last minute. I have no idea what to do with my fish! I am looking for a good book to get my little brother.
He is really smart, loves math, and wants to attend MIT someday, so I thought this book would be perfect. He can read at an adult level, so that's not a problem, but is the book appropriate in other ways? Language, sexual content, violence, etc. He's 15.2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade ago
I know nobody's life is perfect out there!
What would you change to make it better?

My stomach has been bugging me for years.
I get stomach sickness easily when no flu is going around or anything.
I tend to get sick a lot and miss a lot of school.
I don't know what is wrong or what to do.
It doesn't have any pattern with food I eat or anything.

I am overweight and have a round face.
I'm going to get my hair cut and have no idea what to do.
I like the feeling of it when it is short, as my hair is very thick and heavy.
I'm not sure what to do.
Right now it is past my shoulders and starting down my back.9 AnswersHair1 decade ago
A little before Christmas I lost my cat and have not been able to find him since. I have tried everything with no success. I now believe I am ready to move on and adopt a new kitten. I asked my step-dad, telling him I will pay for it and all of its food, litter, toys, and medical bills, but he said 'no'. I really want one to clear away the pain and to brighten up each day. What should I do to convince him?3 AnswersCats1 decade ago
