  • Blu-ray burned with Cyberlink PDR14 won't play on ps4 or ps3?

I burned a movie to a blu-ray disc using Cyberlink PowerDirector 14. The disc works perfectly fine when I play it on my computer with PowerDVD. But on a ps3 and ps4, only the main menu works. When I press play, only the audio plays and the screen is black. The video won't display AT ALL.

I don't have a plain blu-ray player to test it on, but I'm assuming since it does play on my computer it must be some kind of compatibility issue? Is there some setting I need to change in PDR before I burn it? What can I do to fix this?

  • After Effects timeframes are inaccurate?

I imported a .mp4 video into After Effects to add some text overlay. The video was exported from Cyberlink PowerDirector, and I had marked the places on the timeline in my PowerDirector project so I could refer to them later in AE. But the timeframes do not line up. I tried re-importing the video into PDR to see if it had exported wrong, but the frames all lined up perfectly there, so I know the issue is in AE.

So for example, I need to put text at 0:33.21 but the frame that SHOULD be at 0:33.21 is actually at 0:34.26 on the After Effects timeline. I have tried playing with the frame rate and drop frame settings, but nothing has worked. They are not even shifted by the same amount each time, so I can't ignore this and just move everything over a certain number of frames. What could be causing this and what else can I try?

  • PayPal app CONSTANTLY makes me change password?

Pretty much every time I open my PayPal app to check something, it tells me there’s suspicious activity (as if! I have ZERO proof of that) and forces me to change my password before I can log back in. This is outrageous and I want to know how to stop it. Their customer service, like so many, is horrible so don’t even suggest that. Please help!

  • After iOS 13.4 update, photo albums are all out of order?

I updated my iPhone 8 to iOS 13.4.1 and now suddenly some of my photo albums have COMPLETELY jumbled up the order of my photos inside them. They are no longer arranged by date added or date taken or the order I dragged them into when I made the album. It’s complete chaos! What the hell, Apple, and more importantly HOW DO I FIX IT? I have thousands of photos in there, so manually dragging them around all over again is NOT an option.

  • Why is YouTube extending my uploaded video by 30 seconds? How to prevent this?

I uploaded a video that was 3:01 long and suddenly the published video is 3:31 long and the last 30 seconds are just the last frame of the video, dragged out for no reason. I DID NOT add an end screen or mess with the settings in any way. What the hell is going on and how do I stop this from happening?

  • Bf eats food off the floor?

Not just dry food, but pretty much anything. Today we had a bag of brownies fall open and he took the ones that fell ON THE RUG and he put them back in the bag and thinks that’s totally normal. He won’t listen to me when I try to talk sense into him. It’s not really something I want to make a scene about, but he’s so arrogant about it and thinks I’m paranoid for asking him to stop. How can I convince him I’m not the crazy one for not wanting carpet fibers (and who knows what else) in my food?

  • Photoshop - using the perspective crop tool CHANGES my image size for no reason!?

I'm using the perspective crop tool. I set all my corners, and then the instant I apply the transformation, my canvas size and my entire image size CHANGES. Literally the dimensions are no longer the ones I set them to when I created the document. It becomes more square. I have to go back into image size and fix it, which is MAJORLY annoying when I have a long chain of images to edit. What is happening here and how do I stop it from happening?

  • Amazon says my package may be lost, even after it ARRIVED?

How do I tell them it arrived so they can stop having all this confusion? This has happened to me multiple times with items from third party sellers on Amazon and while it’s not impacting me negatively, it’s still annoying. Something is messed up with their tracking system. Where’s the button to click that says ‘nope, stop it, it got here last month, we’re good’?

  • Large download in Chrome hangs at 40gb, how to unstick it?

I've checked and I still have plenty of space on my computer and my internet is working fine. I know the zip I'm trying to download is really big, I don't know how big, the number worked its way up to 40gb and has stayed there for the past day without moving or even giving me any indication that the download might be failing. The download animation is still going around and around as if it's working fine, but it hasn't done anything new since last night. I'm not even sure if it's started the download process yet. How can I troubleshoot this?

  • HP Spectre laptop notifies me "PC isn't charging" even though it's charging fine?

Whenever I turn on my laptop and it's plugged in, I get a notification that it isn't charging and I should check the power cable. But I check under the battery icon every time and it is always charging perfectly fine. Should I be concerned? And if not, how can I stop these false alarms?

  • What are some detailed books or sources about the daily lives of medieval royalty?

I'm looking for references to use in writing a fictional book where one of my characters is a prince. It's a fantasy story, but I'm trying to keep it grounded in reality in the ways that I can. Shockingly, I can't seem to find any detailed sources that explain what everyday life was like specifically for members of the royal family, say, in medieval England maybe. Every source I can find about castle life is just generally about lords and their households, which I imagine would not be quite the same.

If it helps, my fictional royal family consists of the king, queen, and a prince about 18 years old, living in a palace near the ocean and ruling a large kingdom. I am looking for information on how they would spend their time, what the palace environment would be like, and also how guests would be accommodated there.

  • Can I disable the “End” key on a Mac?

I keep pressing End by accident instead of Delete, which gets really annoying really fast when I’m working on a project with hundreds of lines and it takes me to the very bottom and makes me lose my place. And this is my work computer, so having this button which I NEVER use intentionally is wasting my time. Can I turn it off somehow?

The computer is a Mac, macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, but the keyboard is not an Apple one, it’s Dell, if that makes any difference. And I can’t use a fix that requires me to install any software, since this isn’t really MY computer. So do I have any options?

  • Is there a lightbox that has a ruler in inches?

I want to buy a lightbox, and I’ve noticed all the ones I’m looking at on Amazon have rulers on them, an idea I really like. But every single one is ONLY in centimeters. Don’t get me wrong, I’m an American and even I think we should all be using the metric system by now, but I’m just too used to inches and I am astounded that I can’t find a single lightbox whose ruler uses them. Does one even exist?

  • Are there any iPhone music player apps that can save your place in multiple playlists at once?

Getting fed up with how the default music app keeps glitching on me, and thinking of trying a third party one. But in researching the alternatives, I can’t seem to find one thing on my mental wishlist mentioned anywhere. I really want to be able to be in the middle of a shuffled playlist, switch to a completely different playlist, and then later come back to the first one in the same spot I left it. And save the second one for later, etc. Indefinitely. Each separate playlist would have its own save state that would be stored in memory until I decide to either shuffle that playlist again or play it in order. Wouldn’t this be simple enough to program? Has anyone done it?

  • Within a specific presentation, PowerPoint seems to be proofing in UK English even though it is set to US English? PLEASE HELP?

I don't know how else to explain it. Suddenly, in one of my slideshows, PowerPoint has started underlining words like "color" and "odor" as if they don't even exist, and suggesting I replace them with the British versions. I checked the proofing language multiple times and it is still set to US English.

Word and Excel are NOT having this problem. It's only PowerPoint. And the weirdest part is that I just realized it's only doing this inside one certain presentation file. I would try to rebuild it, but it's long and I don't want to mess up the templates and slide masters which were built by someone else.

Don't tell me to just add the words to my dictionary. I don't want a quick fix, I want a solution that will actually get to the root of whatever is going on here. PLEASE HELP.

  • PowerPoint suddenly underlines "color" and "odor" even though proofing language is set to US English and always has been?

Suddenly, PowerPoint seems to think it is spell checking in British English? I am in the US and have never seen this problem before. It is suggesting the British spelling of these words and acts like mine don't even exist. I triple-checked my language settings and it is definitely still set to US English. What is going on and how do I fix it?

  • Do underwater currents make sounds?

In the ocean, do strong currents make sounds, maybe whooshing sounds, the way that strong wind does in the air? I want to know from the perspective of someone actually under the water. A mermaid's perspective.

  • Are there guided tours of ships from medieval times?

I tried looking this up myself, but all I could find was cruise advertisements and tours of civil war battleships. I'm looking for a place where I can go inside a ship from somewhere around the middle ages. Either a real ship or a replica, doesn't matter. Does that kind of thing exist, and if so can you point me to a site with details?

  • I tell an image to open in Photoshop 2019... and it opens in Photoshop 2018?

I have no idea why Adobe updated Photoshop by installing 2019 IN ADDITION to 2018 instead of replacing it. But now, even though I've successfully opened images in it before, I just noticed when I right click a file and choose "Open with..." Photoshop 2018 is on the list but 2019 IS NOT, despite being installed. I have to manually browse to the program to choose it. And now, even though it worked before, for some reason it has decided to open the image in 2018 even when I SPECIFICALLY click on the 2019 one. Not only that, but once when it opened, it brought up a welcome screen that said Welcome to Camera Raw. I WAS IN PHOTOSHOP 2018. Camera Raw, which I have never opened at all before, was NOT open. What is going on?

  • If I play songs softly when a person is sleeping, will they start liking those songs?

He hates some of my favorite music and I’m certain that could change if he would give it a chance, but he refuses and I’m at a loss. Psychology is my only idea. Do you think there’s any way it would work? Or what else would?
