I'm really stuck and this essay is due in a few hours. Been searching for a long time, but I can't seem to find anything. Requirements:
1. Must be from the 1950s
2. Can be a TV ad or magazine ad (I just need to know what magazine it is from for citation purposes)
3. Must have emphasis on the whole "the family can come" aspect and the perks of not having to leave your car.
Any help is greatly appreciated!2 AnswersHomework Help5 years ago
Just something that's been on my mind recently. It seems like I can't talk about or buy a fanservice series without someone commenting "ew are you gay?" Or "omg how can a woman watch this when it objectifies women?". The whole reaction just seems so idiotic to me. It's fine if you don't like it but is such a reaction really necessary?
I'm straight so the fanservice itself does nothing for me. It just honestly does not bother me. I'm fine with it if it has a decent story (like Sekirei) or if it has that whole "so bad it's good" thing going for it (like Ikkitousen).4 AnswersComics & Animation5 years ago
Or does an ashikabi absolutely have to be human? I can't remember if the show ever specified.3 AnswersComics & Animation6 years ago
I want to charge my phone on my bedside table bc I use it as my alarm clock. The problem is that the only power outlet within reach is behind my bed. Because the only charger I have has the usb port in the front, it's too big and I can't plug it in unless I keep my bed really far away from the wall. A charger with the USB port on the side would definitely solve my problem!2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans6 years ago
Ive been trying to search on google with no luck. And I REALLY need this as a source for an essay. Basically I just want to prove that not all students learn best by writing down words and formulas. Some students are visual and hands on learners, so writing can be boring to them, whereas engaging the creative part of their brain can help them engage more effectively with the lesson at hand.
Does anyone know of any studies or articles that suggest or prove this?1 AnswerPsychology6 years ago
I'm writing an essay on how current education practices encourage the "othering" of those who participate in fan cultures. My first topic is about the social setting of the classroom and how it others introverts because of the insistence on classroom participation. But I still need to prove that fans are often introverts.
NOTE: I know this is a generalization, which I do acknowledged in my paper.1 AnswerHomework Help6 years ago
I remember learning about this in highschool when studying Shakespeare.
I'm writing an essay and I just cannot think of the word! Google searches haven't been very helpful. :(12 AnswersWords & Wordplay6 years ago
It's so weird but recently Facebook has been giving me notifications for things that have nothing to do with me. Like ill just get a notification that some girl I went to highschool with has updated her status, added a photo, etc... I am never tagged in these posts or photos and it's never on my wall. There's literally no reason for me to be getting these. The only connection seems to be that it's people I've gone to school with, but even then I don't seem to be getting these notifications from everyone I've gone to school with, just a few people. And it's not always the same school level either. I can get a notification from someone I knew in highschool and then get one from someone who goes to the same university. What's going on and how do I stop it?3 AnswersFacebook6 years ago

I was just chatting with my friend and suddenly I get this message when I click on a new page. I doubt that I was reported or anything.

The wheels at the top that hold and move the film?
I'm writing an essay, and I can't seem to find the answer with an internet search.
I have the first dvd volume of season 4 (start of the Waking the Dragons arc) and the back of the DVD says that it contains episodes 401-407. I find this confusing because most websites (including MAL) claim that the Duel Monsters series only has about 230 episodes or so.
The only thing I can think of is that they were including the spinoff series that was running at the same time when numbering the episodes on the DVDs, but I still don't see why anyone would do that.1 AnswerComics & Animation7 years ago
I have 2 Star Wars posters that were part of a monthly subscription when the original trilogy movies were still just coming out. Not sure if it was monthly magazine or not, but I THINK it was just a monthly poster. When you unfold them there are interviews and articles on 1 side and then a full poster on the other side.
I have no interest in selling them, but I was just curious.
I'm doing a project and I want to show some movie clips in my presentation. I've been searching on youtube and can't seem to find any movie clips. Does anybody have some ideas of a clip I should use?
I once read an essay in which the writer very convincingly argues that science fiction evolved from western films. I wanted to talk about this essay in my science fiction class, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of the essay or the writer.
Thanks in advance!2 AnswersMovies7 years ago
My brother borrowed my ipod a few days ago and left it in his car. I've been bugging him for days to give it back to me because I didn't want to leave out in the cold. Now he finally gave it back to me and I've noticed that since he brought it back in a lot of apps are freezing and crashing, and now my email is acting strange as well. I've tried restoring it, but it didn't help. Could this be because it was left in the cold for so long? What can I do to fix it?2 AnswersMusic & Music Players7 years ago
I'm doing an essay on the fanbase for "Free!", though more specifically those who promoted the series before it aired.
1. What were your reasons for trying to get this made into a real series?
2. Would you describe yourself as feminist for doing this? Why or why not?
BQ: Can I quote you in my essay? Can I use your screen name in my citation, or would you prefer to remain anonymous?
Thank you!1 AnswerComics & Animation7 years ago
Ok, so I'm doing an essay on the fanbase behind Free!. And a lot of this essay would have to focus on the fanfictions that would have been released before the series aired. Unfortunately, I know little to nothing about fanfictions, so I need a little help here:
1. What were the names used for the characters?
2. Could you link to some fanfictions that came out before the series aired? Like ones that would have come out shortly after Kyoto Animation aired the promo video? Or maybe even ones that came out shortly after Animation DO released that picture?
