this video is of one of the worlds fastest growing species of bamboo, but i cant seem to figure out what species grow the fastest... multiple sources seem to be a regurgitation of the same standardized "The world record for the fastest growing plant belongs to certain species of the 45 genera of bamboo, which have been found to grow at up to 91 cm (35 in) per day or at a rate of 0.00003 km/h (0.00002 mph). According to the RHS Dictionary of Gardening, there are approximately 1,000 species of bamboos" -quoted from Guinness world records-Garden & Landscape1 week ago

what primitive instinctual cues and sounds are all humans attuned to as a species and understand without the need for language?
almost every animal in the world has its own language that includes gestures, noises, posture, expression, some animals hair stands on end like a dog hackle or chimpanzees on the hunt and fighting for territory and such. meerkats have different calls for different kinds of animals and their relative danger/proximity to the pack.... horses pin their ears down when they are defensive and aggressive usually preceeding physical disputes like biting or kicking etc..i can go on... what are some of the universally understood primeval forms of communication (both physical and vocal) do humans have instinctevly react to, that are not direct expressions of emotion or a form of higher language? a true fearful alerting distressful scream is an example of primitive communication. we instinctively have a reaction both mentally and physically to hearing a scream that we were not expecting, and a different reaction to screams that we know.. leaving out emotionally driven cues like glaring and laughing and crying etc, what other forms of primeval communication do all humans instinctively understand without the need for language?Psychology1 week ago

we can make minerals and gemstones in lab conditions and some even on industrial level production, but that is artificial synthesis. i'm talking about impregnating specific environments with the necessary elements. we can kind of force nature to produce a fossil, but that is up to debate because our methods of preservation have not been subjected to the right conditions for even a fraction of the time needed but more or less, we can force nature to produce fossils. what about gems and minerals?1 AnswerEarth Sciences & Geology3 weeks ago
we know how to find gemstones by their associated minerals and some specific Geological Activities that are millions of years old and took millions of years to form..... how about doing that in reverse? can we determine what current Geological Activity will one day be the host rock to future deposites of gemstones and other saught after specific minerals and elements? they know what is being produced and exploit it in some cases like the places where people harvest minerals as they are produced like sulfer and metal salts from volcanoes and whatnot.. are there any places where people have put the knowledge of both those subjects together to locate future deposites based on what there is now and what the predicted future geological activity will be and all that jazz?2 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology3 weeks ago
some are more demanding than others. what is the least demanding event in the olympics? i think it would be one of the throwing events like the discus or hammer or javelin but am unsure. the reason i say the throwing sports, is because even though they are massively strong, they only exert themselves for a VERY VERY short period of time, unlike the running/skiing/swimming sports. endurance is harder than exertion.2 AnswersOlympics1 month ago
so, neither the yolk nor the white are the chick, the yolk is the nutrient source attached to the embryo via primitive umbillical cord. makes sense, that is essentially the same thing that goes on inside a mammal womb, fertalized eggs attach to the uterus wall and as the fetus grows, it is sustained via their cord to their mother which is their nutrient source.... but as a chick grows, the yolk gets consumed, however the space within the egg cannot hold both the white and a chick ready to hatch. what happens to most of that white?2 AnswersZoology1 month ago
