So here it goes, I plan to upgrade my PC but only the cpu, mainboard and ram. Do I need to format it or just replace things and boot it up?
It is Windows 10 64 bit with 1GB Nvidia GeForce210 and 4GB ram.
Plan to upgrade to AMD A4 or A610 AnswersDesktops9 months ago
I have this old mainboard Asrock G41C-GS with a really neat pentium dual-core 3.2GHz 800 FSB CPU lying around in my basement and I was wondering if I could make more juice out of it by using my spare 2GB DDR3 1333 I got from my friend the other day.
Here is the table where the pieces of parts 'they say' it would fit together nicely.
So there it is and please help me out guys as this will be my back-up PC for legacy games that I have conquered.
PS. I know AMD folks have this same kind of dilemma too. ;)2 AnswersDesktops3 years ago
Will it run on stock settings? I do not want to overclock. TY3 AnswersDesktops4 years ago
I also installed SP1 and 2. I connected to the internet and checked for Windows updates for 2 and a half hours but I get no error message. It is just checking. I can say that my connection is stable coz I downloaded files without interruptions. Does anyone have a clue on this?2 AnswersSoftware4 years ago

release a software update for Intel-built boards to support it.
This question came into me when I was reviewing my motherboard manual. It says there that with the following software update, it would be able to support higher processor models; and it comes with a catch:
-this overclocking setting is strongly not recommended and is not for long term use
Mainboard: MSI 945GCM5-F V2 (MS 7267 v4.0)
Supporting: 800 FSB (1066 overclocking)
They should've at least kept it as a secret coz they know it'll ruin them in the end (:
I know that it exists on current models too...shed some light and thanks a lot.5 AnswersDesktops7 years ago

I have a Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit with Intel E2140 1.6 GHz Dual Core processor, genuine Kingston 512MB DDR2 667 and 2GB DDR2 667 memory modules, all on its default settings (no overclocking).
I ran this test Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool which can be found at Control Panel, restarted my PC, chose 'Extended' Option and 'Default' for cache settings.
The tool ran as it is until I noticed that it was stuck on 21% literally for about an hour or so...
Never tried 'basic' and 'standard' though.
Anyone here has an idea on how long does it suppose to take..?

I need to have a repair for my shoe. The sole cracked open after using my pair of shoes for not over 2 months. My mom says it needs to be replaced by a new one (new pair of soles) which costs approximately P 500.00 pesos (here in our local repair shop, not in malls). She also said that the soles needed to be pre-ordered a day before the repair could be done.
So i need to know if the time plus the price and the service here in our local service center/s could be matched by those offered by those in the mall 'classy' ones. (A comprehensive/side-by-side comparison on the details)

I got a Q5 china phone model capable of 3 sim cards. When I place the two together (Smart and TM) sim cards, GPRS went on for both. If alone it doesn't happen. BTW my IMEI is 358611068523887 and 358611068523903.

I defragment my micro SD HC Card (its a Nokia brand). I've heard from somewhere out there that doing so would destroy your card in the process leaving you crying to buy a new one.
By the way its inserted in my china phone and Windows Vista (home basic) is detecting it just fine (I think) with a USB icon and a green wave above it. And also I could check for file system errors and bad sectors on it.3 AnswersAdd-ons9 years ago
