  • facebook bugs?

I got unfriended by someone on FB and  I don't see the "add friend" button for him although we have mutual friends. Is this caused by a bug or is it a recent change  on FB that you cannot add back someone that's unfriended you (not declined your request, I know that you can't add them again for 1yr if they decline it)?

  • dying sound card!?

Today I reinstalled Windows 10 on my Lenovo Y520 laptop since I had to replace the hard drive. Upon one of the restarts i did, the sound started coming out only from the internal speaker, while Windows couldn t recognize the external ones. I uninstalled the audio driver for Realtek from device manager, rebooted a couple of times but to no avail. Downloaded a different Realtek driver but still could not get them to work. Tried connecting headphones, but they dont get recognized as well. Windows installed an update too, it might be the reason but I m not sure. What can I do? Is it the sound card that s dying or a drive issue? Internal speakers work, external/headphones don't. THx in advance.

  • hard disk partition question?

So long story short, the HDD where my Windows 10 system is located is dying, found 21 bad sectors today and works intermittently. I plan on buying an SSD and installing a fresh copy of Windows 10 on it without removing the old installation and without removing the dying disk yet (there's a C: partition on the dying disk for Windows, also a D: partition for storing other files), which I will do later. Is there any way to allocate the SSD as a C: partition without losing the data on the dying drive and then change the old C: to another letter, or do I have to first change the dying disk's system partition from C: to something else and then make the new installation? Thank you in advance!

  • G19s keyboard doesn't register rapid keystrokes?

So my Logitech G19s keyboard has an issue with fast keystrokes, for example, if I press the Q key rapidly it stops registering after the 3rd stroke or if I type TATATA fast, it displays TATTT or something similar. Is it a hardware or software issue? This doesn't happen on my old G19 keyboard.

  • Laptop shuts down after a minute with an external monitor?

So here's the deal - i have connected an external ASUS VG236 23" monitor to my Lenovo Y520 laptop over HDMI. The problem is that, if I don't interact with the computer for 1 minute, it goes to sleep, which is annoying. Doesn't happen when no external monitor is connected, at least i haven't noticed.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance and have a nice day.

  • Popped lamp fixture/socket?

So long story short, one of my light bulbs (incandescent) blew, so I had to replace it - started unscrewing the bulb, but since it was too tightly screwed (not by me), only the glass came out and the screw remained in. And with all my stupidity i shorted the fixture through the screw that remained in it with a pair of pliers and it popped with a few sparks flying. The problem is that the other bulb stopped lighting but it was good, the filament wasn't broken inside, but the breaker DID NOT trip.

Any guess where the problem has occurred? My guess is the socket itself plus the wiring between the chandelier and the light switch (it's dimmer) Please help!

  • Sony digital camera screen went blank?

The screen on my Sony DSC-HX40)V suddenly went blank while I was trying to record a video. EVF is still working, the LCD, though, lights up, but does not show neither the interface, nor the image coming from the lens. I Suppose it's a loose wire, but I need advice on what the problem could really be. Will take it to a repair shop in 2-3 weeks (it's stlil in warranty). Thanks in advance.

  • Replacing a 1/2.3" sensor with a larger type?

Hello, I'd like to know if it's possible to replace the 1/2.3" sensor on a Sony DSC-HX400V camera with a larger one like the size most mid-class DSLR cameras have, because the HX400V has a good lens, but the sensor is too small to get a good-quality picture? Thanks in advance.

  • How do I store Loctite PowerFlex Gel superglue?

I want to know how to store the PowerFlex Gel superglue, because I don't think the best idea is to store it in the fridge like the normal superglue. Last time I put it in the fridge and took it out it was almost completely hardened. So should I keep it outside or in the fridge?

  • Acer Aspire V3-571G problem?

One month ago I bought an Acer Aspire V3-571G laptop. Ever since the first time I powered it up, I started having problems with it. It overheats to 90-95 degrees whenever I start a game like CS:S or GTA IV, and when idle the temp is 45-50 degrees. The other thing is the GPU which doesn't run 3D games at more than 30-40 FPS, so I'm forced to run the games from the built-in GPU, which i've listed in the specs below:

    CPU: Intel Core i7 3610QM - 2.3 Ghz up to 3.3 GHz

GPU: nVidia GeForce GT 640M with 2GB VRAM

    RAM: 8GB

    DVD: Super multi-DL Drive

    HDD: 1 TB

    WLAN: Acer Nplify 802.11 a/g/n

    Bluetooth 4.0

My friend has an Acer Aspire 5755G laptop with a GeForce 630M GPU and doesn't have problems with it, and his laptop doesn't overheat too. What can be the problem with mine? Is it defective and I have to exchange it, or is there a way to fix this? Please help me thanks in advance.
