  • Is it possible to upgrade to Windows 7 Upgrade from a Non-Genuine XP?

I have a "friend" who has decided to go legitimate and purchased a real sealed version of Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade. The question my "friend" has is this the right version for him? Will this create a new genuine key for the computer? Or should he buy the Windows 7 that isn't an upgrade?

FYI, I don't know if this was mentioned anywhere, but my friend bought the family pack at the local Best Buy for $129.99. They have a Paypal promo for $20 off when you order online. They just matched it in the store instead.

  • What is the best sized ball for children's handball?

Not the adult handball with the small blue ball. This is playground ball with the larger, bouncy playground ball. Thanks.

  • What is the difference between the Garmin 265T and the 765T?

Other than the huge price difference they appear to be the same except the 765T has the lane guidance.

  • THIS JUST IN: President Jimmy Carter is still alive. Question is...?

Who cares? Just go away. He is the only person that can rival George Bush for the worst president the U.S. has ever had.

  • Why did Red Vines (American Licorice) stop selling the red Bites?

I thought they sold pretty well. They still sell the mixed bag, but the black ones infect the red ones with their black licorice taste. Oh red Bites, how I miss thee.

I'm in Los Angeles in case someone local has seen it around somewhere.

  • Questions that keep you up at night?

Feel free to add to the list:

If you have sex with a prostitute against her will, is it considered rape or shoplifting?

    Can you cry under water?

How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?

Why do you have to 'put your two cents in'... but it's only a 'penny for your thoughts'? Where's that extra penny going to?

Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?

Why does a round pizza come in a square box?

What disease did cured ham actually have?

How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?

Why is it that people say they 'slept like a baby' when babies wake up like every two hours?

If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?

Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?

  • Crosby or Ovechkin?

Is there a reason why this question still gets posted? Just look up the answer at this point.

(The answer if Ovechkin, FYI :) )

  • Does anyone know if Red Vines (American Licorice) still makes Red Bites?

They used to sell red bites, but I don't see them anywhere anymore. I've found mixed bites that contain red and black bites mixed together, but those don't taste the same because the black ones are so overwhelming.

    Does anyone else miss them?

  • Are the Maple leafs playing their way out of a lottery pick?

I am a Canadiens fan, but I ask this as a Canadian fan. They had a great pick locked up, and mathematically they don't have a shot in hell of making the playoffs. Fletcher must be pretty upset.

  • What's worse? Danny Heatley killing Snyder while driving recklessly or Todd Bertuzzi ending Moore's career?

People tend to hate Bertuzzi for that sucker punch, but they give Heatley a free pass even though he murdered his friend while driving his Ferrari. I think death is bigger than the game of hockey. I know Moore is somehwat paralyzed, but at least he is alive.

  • Has anybody seen any review for MLB 2K8 on the Wii?

I searched the internet, but can't seem to find anything. It's pretty strange considering the game was released today.

  • Is the Los Angeles Metro Red Line Safe at Night?

My wife and I will be going from the Hollywood/Vine Station to the Universal City Station at 11:00pm on Friday. We are Los Angeles residents, and thought it might be easier to try the rail to go to the theater.

  • Does anybody know the lyrics to this Yiddish (Jewish) Song?

My Grandma passed away last week and she used to sing it to me and I'm trying to remember the words. It starts like this:

Shayna klainer ingeleh, pachy pachy kichalech...

I think that's how it starts. Thanks in advance.

  • Is it possible to treat water in one city to replicate it to another city?

For example. If I wanted to have water in Los Angeles be just like water in New York so I could make a pizza, is that possible?

  • Is stealing from Best Buy okay?

Well, I have a little bit of a problem: I purchased a 65in DLP, audio system, blu-ray player, and hd-dvd player on wednesday. I told them that I would need to come back and pick everything up later in the week. I needed to borrow a cube van from my neighbor to get my order home. I did not live close enough for the cheap delivery and did not want to pay more than it would cost me to get to the store. I then exchanged everything that was not the television. I had everything I bought set for pickup and after exchange took everything home.

Then I went today to pick up my television. I went to the department and they called my television up. I pulled up my van and they loaded my television up.

I was not paying attention to them. I noticed that there was other stuff near the door, but it did not concern me. The television fit inside of the van and I waited for them to load everything. I get home and they put the entire order in my van. The television and all the items I have exchanged.

Do you think that they will come pick this stuff up without charging me? This was not my mistake. I specifically said I was there to pick up my television. I should have paid more attention to what was going on, but I saw the tv was correct and thought that was everything. I figured they would know enough what I was supposed to get. Now I have extra stuff that I need to return, but the nearest Best Buy is about 90 miles away. I do not feel like paying for more gas to return this stuff. The van I used got 8 miles per gallon. I am afraid that if I call they will tell me to bring everything back. I do not want to pay $100 for fuel and a case of beer (for allowing me to use the van) because of their mistake. That would take a nice bite out of my savings. I do not want them to charge me and force me to return or resell. I just want rid of this stuff.

I might look for some traveling through the area going near manhattan (ks, not ny) that could return the stuff for me.

  • Is it okay to say no?

My wife's aunt and uncle asked us to care for their kids if something were to happen to them. We were 25 at the time and recently married. We felt like we were too young to watch their two kids (now three kids) and not financially stable. I always felt badly about saying no because chances are nothing would happen to them.

  • Can someone help with an HR issue?

I'm trying to get my work done, but Jim is always playing games with Pam and Dwight just creeps me out. I tried to talk to Tobey about this, but he said I should talk to Michael. Michael's an idiot.
