  • Do you still think online poker isn't a joke? What's the excuse this time?

Best answer: Ok not paranoid, just someone who doesn't understand randomness and the related math. If you really think you have a case here, go through your hand history and tally how often things happen. That alone might cure you because human memory is fallible and you might think something happened more frequently than it did (because you remember the times it did and not the times it didn't).

If you have a specific hypothesis that something happens too often, look for that in the history. Or you can data-mine without a specific hypothesis, which is sure to find apparent statistical oddities even if there aren't any real ones. Either way, once you have stats to support a hypothesis, you'll need to keep gather data with future hands or, ideally, from other people on forums who can compare notes with you. A combined sample is better than one sample.

It's funny, your posts have the exact same format as another (former?) riggie on here. He too used to post 2 hand examples as proof of rigging, and when we made fun of him for it he'd post another two or three. He seems to have improved at poker since then, and consequently I haven't seen him asking these questions anymore. Go figure!

In less than 100 hands: 1. I call a CO open raise OTB with A5s. OTF: AXX. He checks, I check back. He bets (small) twice OTT and OTR. {I had no choice but to call, because he didn't value bet OTF} 2. I open in the LJ with AA, and the SB calls. OTF: TcTsJs. He checks, I go all in, he calls and shows up AK. {I had no choice but to go all in, because he could have still been on a flush draw} 3. I 3Bet with 99. The SB calls, the original raiser folds. OTF: AKX. {I had to fold} 4. JT v J8. Board: 838JT. He limps OTB, I check in the BB. He checks back OTF. I value bet OTT and OTR. {Pretty much explains itself} What have you got to say about these? Yet another session, and yet another series of setup hands! Every single time I play it happens!

Best answer: When I'm stuck in an airport, it's not a casino I'm longing for, nor a bordello -- it's a shower. Truck stops have showers, so why not airports too?
