Also any tips if you point me in that direction? Thanks peeps :) PS feel free to elaborate on your trip experiences I'm all ears :) Edit: Also those asking me to supply more detail to help me I'm very interested in history of foreign countries. I don't know if I'd go clubbing abroad it seems a waste of time I could do that at home. I'm not saying I wouldn't be up for it but I'd rather learn and explore the history of a country than get drunk in it ha ha :)

This time would be international, and I'd have 2 stops. Once I arrived there, I'd be staying with a friend and they would help me from that point onward. I'm just a little worried about getting there. Finding my way, stopping, possibly switching planes, etc all seems a little confusing to me and I'm worried about getting lost. Am I too young to do this or do you think I'd be able to? When I mentioned the idea to my mom, she was more scared than me and said "I don't want anyone to take you!" etc. That's just irrational fears, I hope? Any advice to calm both of us down? Lol.

  • Are there any other countries besides the USA and North Korea that will not allow their citizen to visit other countries? If so, which ones?

US citizens can't visit North Korea anymore and North Koreans severely restrict who leaves their country. Are those the only two countries that control travel by their population?

  • Where to send my mom for a vacation?

Best answer: Does your Mom like spas - not everyone does. And, as for sending her to an hotel, you need to send her to a place that is interesting with things to do that she will enjoy.

So, before you organise anything, ask your mother just where she would like to go!

  • Which nation's passport is the most convenient for travel?

Best answer: Define convenient. Ireland, South Korea and NZ are up there in terms of the most visa free travel, but they're only ahead of the pack by a couple countries. Those rankings don't show length of visa free travel either. For instance Canada only gets 1 month in Singapore, but the UK gets 3 months. So that should have some bearing as well. Plus, just because a Japanese person can travel visa free to China, doesn't mean they'll be treated well. Much better to travel China on a Canadian passport if you don't want people spitting in your food, hold you up at customs etc, so that can count too in terms of "Convenience". I think unassuming western countries like NZ, Ireland, Canada have the best balance overall. South Korea has a great passport for Asia though. Hard to make a definative statement.
