Best answer: Social pressure. If you admit you do not feel Christian in your heart then your family and neighbours and community jump down your throat for admitting it. See, many of them are not true believers either. People do it to be social and to avoid social stigma, which is the same reason they do not admit to affairs when they cheat on their wives or Gay sex if a coach like Sandusky buggers a player. You know millions of guys actually do have Gay sex every day but nobody ever admits it, or only a few thousand do. Also wives cheating on their husbands do not tell that either. Then you have got your Baptist ministers and televangelists and Republican Congressmen who are not about to admit they have heterosexual sex let alone Gay sex. so people are mostly hypocrites, if you think about it. Social pressure, that is the reason. Easier to be a false Christian than an honest pagan.

I've asked about a year before but they said we will see how I am at te end of the year. When I got my report there was a comment from my Pe teacher saying I wasn't joining in as much so mum thought I had anxiety. Also because I had physical anxiety symptoms too. For example migraines and all. My mum took me to the doctor and he referred me to a psychologist. We talked about me not liking school etc. She wanted me to try another school but I'm even more depressed there now. How should I tell my parents that I want to be homeschooled . I'm not going to her anymore. The teachers are worse at my new school. I've made some friends but I'm not that close to them. Only one out of like five came to my bday party. My laptop doesn't work at school and my maths and science teacher gets angry me. I cn tell she is. The it guys are no help. I feel so alone and have just had enough of public school. How can I bring the topic up with my parents again? Thanks for any help.

I was researching homeschooling and wondered how much someone would actually have to be there with me, but couldn't actually find an answer. My dad has a full time job, and my mom has 2 jobs both with odd shifts. Neither would be able to be home all the time (and neither can quit as we couldn't afford it) but would they need to be? I mean I would need them for supervision legally and homework help but do I really need them 24/7?

  • Atheists: was humans designed to see, hear and speak to survive from the onset or evolution is involved?

How could those aptitutes be developed in humans throughout humanity without an intelligence behind it. I don't see how evolution could bring someone to see for instance. EVOLUTION PROCESS ISN'T MAGIC to even bring a being to see.

  • Would you homeschool a Kindergartner? Why or why not? Any advice or tips would be appreciated.?

Best answer: I say do it! Without a doubt. I would strongly advise you to find some homeschooling groups in your area. Have fun, visit the zoo, museums, play in the rain, sleep in, cuddle up and read books, enjoy this time with you child. S/he doesn't need any formal work at this age. Kids learn though play, so have fun!... show more

I'm a Early Childhood Education major and homeschooling mom of two. Everything I learned in college I threw out the window when I started homeschooling my children. Children are not wired to quietly sit at a desk surrounded by 4 walls all day. It always cracks me up when people say you need to send your kids to school so they can socialize, when in fact you get in trouble at school for talking. We sleep in, swim in the pool, go to the beach, go to museums, the movies, cook, bake, visit the zoo, theme parks, library, the planetarium. We shop, travel, we dance and play in the rain. We are apart of other homeschooling meet up groups, so we are surrounded by like minded people. My kids are socialized. (gasp! yes, they talk to people and it didn't take public school for them to learn how) We love our life. We have the freedom of learning anything and everything we want without limitations. Don't let the others rain on your parade. Have fun with it. You'll never get this time back with your child.

  • Maybe I should be homeschooled? Should I?

I don’t like this; I feel like maybe I shouldn’t be at my school anymore. I don't like anyone other than my crush (as a crush or like, like someone in that way.) I really don't like school because of the dating and relationships there, so should I leave my school for homeschool. I don't want to be so exposed to all this.
