Why do I think the world revolves around me?

I think the world revolves around me. Like, I think every older woman just love ls me, and I am a woman too. For example, I thought my teacher was in love with me when I was 16 even though she was divorced with kids. And I think my coworker cut all her hair off and looks miserable these days because I stopped talking to her.

Did my coworker cut her hair because of me?

I used to talk to her and she would always hug me every time we saw each other. She had long dark curly hair. She would get mad if I gave my attention to someone else and if I did not hug her. Then I stopped talking to her. She cut her hair before to neck length but it was still dark. And then she cut it again, and it is so short like a boy's hair and is shaved and grey.

Sometimes I glance at her and I remember back when I talked to her, she was always happy and smiling. Now she looks miserable. Did any of this have to do with me? Like she doesn't want to have long hair because it was a reminder of when I used to talk to her?

Why are Hispanic people so good at everything?

I've talked to them and asked them if they knew how to do things, like cleaning the house, the bath tub, the refrigerator, laundry, etc and they know how to do everything. They know how to work and talk to people. They are hard working.

How come they know how to do those things and I don't and I am even older than them? Were they forced to mature at a young age?

How to deal with roommate who won’t abide by the rules of the house?

I live in a townhouse owned by my university. (So we don’t have a landlord or an RA). I live with two other girls who don’t clean at all. One of them will help with the household chores, but she’ll let things pile up for days before cleaning anything. The other one just doesn’t do anything. So we al sat down and came to agreement on a chore chart. One person does the dishes and takes out the trash for a whole week, then the other person does the same, and so on. I don’t have a problem wi  try the first girl, but the second girl... whenever it’s her turn to do the dishes/take out the trash, she’ll let the dishes/trash pile up until the last day of her assigned week to do chores. So we change weeks every Saturday. This week, it’s my turn to do the dishes/take out the trash. However, the girl left a huge pile of dishes in the sink (and didn’t empty out the dishwasher either) from two days ago. Even though it’s my turn this week, I feel like she should do the dishes since she didn’t do them during her week. So how do I talk to her about this?

How to better handle mischievous neighbors?

So I live in these condominium-type complexes and have had to deal with crappy ding dong ditchers that have been teasing us. How can I handle them? Do I call the police or what? I've spoken to their parents and they don't really care.

Is considered social inappropriate to call a married person for attractive?

If you talked about appearance/beauty standards with them, i mean.

I'm an ACE (a-sexuality), so I've no interests in dating or sex stuff, because I'm sexually attractive to them, just find them good-looking.

What would be a respectful reply to my father's comment ?

For context, I'm 28, my father is 53. We were having a discussion about gang members and how hard it is for one to improve their quality of life.

My father's argument was that all they need to do is decide not to deal drugs and commit crime, for example, and instead get an education and improve their life from there.

My argument was that if one is born into a lifestyle where they likely don't have any positive role models, they are likely born into poverty, and their environment is most likely chaotic and crime-filled, it's quite difficult to get their life on the right track.

Whenever we have such discussions, my father will say, 'Well, I guess I just have more life than experience than you and know how the world works.' That may be true, but it really doesn't apply to the discussion at hand.

I don't want to be disrespectful but such a reply feels somewhat condescending. What would be a respectful way of responding to this?

This person ignored me and my kids outright, is this rude?

I have an ex-boyfriend and we share a 20-year-old son. My son often asks me to meet up with him for lunch. I brought his brother and sister today to meet him.

My ex's nephew is in town, he is in his 50's. I had never met him before and I tried to greet him as he was approaching the car to say hello to my son. I tried at least 3 times to say hi but he completely bypassed me and just said hello to my son. He was at my driver's side window right in front of me. He didn't introduce himself and ignored my other two children as well who were sitting in the back seat.

I couldn't believe this rude behavior because even though my son's dad and I are exes, I am still my son's mom. Is this not rude behavior? Also, my ex stood away and did not introduce his nephew to me either.

    What did my manager mean?

She always puts me to work in children's clothes and never in the men's clothing. Other managers put me there but she doesn't. I asked her why doesn't she ever put me to work in men's. She said, "Girl, I am going to buy you a blow up doll." What was that supposed to mean?

My neighbor's kid threw crumpled paper at my car and I didn't do anything about it?

I was still in the car when I saw something land with a thud on top of my car and when I looked up I saw a kid running back inside.

Visiting boyfriends parents - faux pas?

I went to visit my boyfriends parents. They are really wealthy and have this air of arrogance about them. Throughout the visit they said a lot of incredibly inappropriate things about the fact that I work at a supermarket on the weekends whilst I am studying for my masters ... stuff like cant my parents afford to pay for me etc. I literally dont even want to go there.

After we left I was left feeling really humilated and shamed. idk why? At one point I wanted to just leave mid-sentence but didnt know how because their driveway has electric gates (which is unusual for most in the UK) and I didnt know how I would get round it.

anyway, his parents have now been complaining about me and how low class I am ... his mum offered me a glass of water and apparently I committed a faux pas because when I left I didnt put the glass in the kitchen. Also I left it on the floor by sofa on which I was sitting.

I really am getting angry as I type this ...firstly, they did not have a coffee table anywhere cos even though they are rich their home was a mess and secondly, I have never known anyone to expect a guest to clear up after themselves. Whilst I am at it most ppl offer more than a glass of water as hospitality to someone they have invited over to their home. eg coffee and cake or nibbles etc.  Thoughts?

    Do people think I’m rude?

When I’m in a group settings like a social situation I don’t speak much. No matter the gender but I’ll explain this scenario as an example. Last night my friend met these two females. We went to their house it was my first time meeting them I liked them and it seemed like they liked me. So I do initiate conversation but after a while I lose energy since I’m an introvert and become very quite. I try and put a few sentences in and after a while I just nod my head with nothing coming out my mouth and you can tell they expect me to say something. This particular women was talkin my ear off to be honest and I just started nodding and zoning out and tried my best to listen. Did I seem rude that after a while I just kept nodding with not much to contribute to the social interaction???? She kept talkin even though I was silent as Michael Myers, surprisingly. There were no awkward moments in my opinion but I would assume people would think it’s rude since the majority of people are social creatures.

What should I say to my co-worker?

There's this co-worker who never uses my name or talks to me directly when asking for tasks that I'm the only one who can do them. He always refer to me as "someone". For example he'll say, can someone send this email? While I'm right there and I'm the only one who has the files that need to be sent.

    He's done this multiple times.

If a neighbor walks onto your property & takes a free newspaper for your house, is that stealing?

A free newspaper is delivered to every house every week. Sometimes I don't retrieve the paper that's delivered on my driveway/lawn right away. It's my property, and if a paper is outside in my yard, that's nobody else's business right?

My next door neighbor walks right onto my property and takes my paper every week. I've seen him do it, but I didn't want to go out to confront him since he starts bringing up all kinds of stuff from the past. Is taking a free paper that's delivered to my property considered stealing? I'm not going to call to cops about a free paper, though, but I'm just wondering if this is theft.      Why would he take my paper, when he gets his own paper? The only thing I can think of is that he wants the store coupons. But isn't that greedy to take a paper that doesn't belong to you? I could never take someone else's paper.

Is this smoking habit a real deal breaker? It’s only American spirits about 2-3 packs per month? ?

Female closet American spirits smoker about 3/day -dating deal breaker?

I know if I didn’t smoke my potential matches would increase... I’m an intellect, artist, free spirit, disorganized person, runner and anxious sort with a few bad habits and one tends to be a big one considering what I value in others doesn’t usually turn out to be a smoker. I’m healthy besides that habit and I’m more so a closet smoker, very shameful of it.

Why not just quit? That’s not my question! Lol.

I want the truth. Would you date a casual smoker who really does want to quit and plans to quit who also values marriage and motherhood in next stages of life?

Why do people keep moving to the side who are walking their dogs when I am walking on the side walk?

I will be walking on the side walk and the person will have plenty of room to walk across from me and even around me but instead this person just stood there waiting for me to pass and moved to the side with their dog. I told that person: "You could go ahead. You have room to walk." Then he just ignored me and didn't say nothing. It's not like I have covid and if people are worried because of the social distancing that is crazy.
