It's really cute to watch this discombobulated little Brit talk about the Middle East like it's his backyard, but now long will it take for him to realize that I'm full of ******* ****? Or will he ever learn ?

Ok, so here's the story. My gardener has a bad habit of blowing leaves into my neighbor's yard when he does yard work. I've asked him to be considerate and refrain from blowing the leaves into their yard, but it still continues. Today, however, my neighbor knocked on my door, and decided to give me a stern lecture on the leaf problem, telling me that she would have her maid dump the leaves on my porch, telling me to fire my gardener, and in all ways just was a general *****. So my question is: am i obligated in any way to keep those leaves out of her yard, and if not, are there possible legal ramifications forr her if she decides to have her maid do this, because honestly i'm not going to bend to her whim when she's such an ***.

My gf's teenage brother died suddenly Tuesday night. Wed. I took a day off work and went to her house and cleaned every room in their house (except his bedroom, I didn't even open the door.) I mowed the grass and bought cold cuts, condiments, bread, and the stuff to make a potato salad and cole slaw since I knew they would be having people in. That evening when people started arriving with food or flowers, I started a list of who brought what, thinking it would be helpful for my gf's mother for when she got around to sending thank you notes. Since I don't know her mother's extended family and friends that well, I would have to ask for their names. One elderly woman seemed offended that I would ask her name and what I was doing. I told her my name and told her I was Megan's bf and I was keeping a list of the guests who came and what they brought. She asked if I didn't think that was a job for the family in a way that indicated clearly SHE thought it was a job for the family. I said, "I guess you're right" and I handed her the pen and pad. I'm sure she and her mother didn't mind. In fact they asked me to come along when they make funeral arrangements this evening. I am not a member of the family and while I hate what happened, and I'm hurting for my gf, I'm not actually grieving over the loss of her brother like the family would. So was I out of line?

  • If my professors have a Ph.D., how should I address them?

Should I refer to them as "Doctor Jones?" Or is "Professor Jones" more appropriate? I have been indoctrinated to respect someone with an extensive education, and so this is why I normally call people with Ph.D.'s "Doctor." Is this proper?

  • If a friend you knew from high school got into an accident and needed money would you donate?

Best answer: Absolutely I would. I've donated when one of my high school tormentors got into an accident and needed money to help him. If I would donate for a bully I would certainly donate for a friend.

I helped clean up the house, and I mowed the grass. I also bought lunch meat, condiments, bread, and made potato salad and cole slaw. Will I be expected to order flowers for the funeral. I remember when my grandmother and mother died, it was just something to get rid of, and the permanent arrangements (silk flowers or potted plants), every time I saw them it was like "funeral flowers." So I eventually regifted them. The thing is, I'm not made of money and arrangements start at $40. I don't want this to be an issue of "he didn't even send flowers."

I wanted to ask, because I didn't know if they're rude just because they hate us, or they're not used to how our culture works (you know what I mean by that). Well, at school, one guy by the name of Carson came from a country over near Thailand, and he is a boy an age younger than me. While he has his foreign friends to hang out with, he's always doing stuff to me, such as stealing my writing utensils by asking to borrow them but not returning them (which I stopped giving him those things after 3 times), talking about me to his friends in his original language, touching my school iPad and nearly knocking it down on the floor (which I'll make sure he's forced to pay for any damage he makes if it's not my fault), giving me dirty looks, and cheating off my tests. I don't want to tell anyone, because like any student, he'll lie and try to get away with it. At one point, I was about to tell him if he's rude to Americans, he shouldn't be living here, though I actually never told him that. I don't mean to be offensive, but it is very irritating for foreigners to tease an American like they hate us. Like any other American, I do get angry to a rude person, and I'm the same way towards a foreigner. So, are they really rude or...what?
