I was recently involved in a fender-bender with my brand new car. I went to the body shop the dealer recommended (because they do not have a body shop) and I needed a new front bumper. They had to keep my car an extra day because they were having a difficult time matching the paint. When I went to pick it up the front bumper color was close, but you can easily tell in sunlight that it does not match the rest of my car. The bumper is lighter in color and the metallic is different. The body shop told me that they could not get it to match any better because the bumper is plastic and the car is metal (but the back bumper matches?). So am I being unrealistic to expect my repair to be able to match my car?

Once we English had real men like Lionheart. But alas we have limp wristed half men in girls blouses representing us. Would England and Europe benefit in uniting and removing this scourge, this ancient enemy of ours once and for all? My maid has sounded the gong meaning tea is about to be served. A tad late as the Welsh Rugby boys after the match kindly invited me to a public house.

The deformity is present all around the circumference & only on tread/not side wall.Tire is a used Lexani LX Thirty 305/40 R22 PerformanceTire but is now the 2nd one which has developed same issue. Got both used tires from same place, they mounted and inflated, and pretty sure the 1st one was the same brand and batch. It's an 02 Tahoe and the placement of tire is on front driver side (both times). wondering if it's just defective tires or could it be caused by a bad mounting job or issues with my rim. Overinflation sounds like a good culprit from other answers. I'll test tire pressure and update. I do plan on getting new tires on all 4 but will fix alignment issues 1st, replace pitman & idler arms(other 3 tires are fine, never bulged, just typical wear u get on sides when its time for an alignment ) so will replace this tire before then and make sure I use different brand but if same issue develops, I'm really gonna be puzzled. Hopefully just bad luck/plus overinflation. It's not so much that inner tread is wearing as much as it is that both tires have developed same unusual bulging that has grown out and deformed the tire. The bulging on 1st tire was more pronounced & developed within 2 days during long trip across state. 2nd tire developed same deformity within 2 months in normal commute conditions.

Background: I am 19 and I have had my license since the day I turned 16, I have shown responsibility by having 5 different extremely nice cars and trucks, all of which would normally draw a lot of police attention (custom paint, tinted windows, and fast / bright colored cars). I bought every single car myself and paid in cash. I never even got pulled over, and I have never been in an accident. I am a full time engineering student and work 20 hours a week at a bank, I am a "good kid" and don't use any drugs or alcohol. As you can see i am very responsible. Question: How do I convince my parents to let me get a motorcycle? I have been trying to convince them since 6 months after I turned 16. They say they trust me, but don't trust other drivers to not hit me or pull out in front of me. I live at home and they say that I cant have a bike until after I move out, not for my safety, but because my mom does not want to sit at home and worry about me making it home. I have tried for a 250-350cc dual sport (dirt bike type) bike, as well as a small sport bike (Kawasaki Ninja 250). Neither of these are fast by any means (My car I am driving now has a top speed of over 160mph). So how do I convince my mom that I wont get hit by a car? I have already suggested: extra reflectors, neon green / reflective riding gear, extra bright lights, buying a bright colored bike, only being allowed to ride when its light out, call/text her when I leave and get places. I am lost, please help as this is a passion of mine. Thank You

I am 18 years old and I am a moderate liberal in terms of politics. I am not homophobic, transphobic, or anything like that. I believe healthcare is a right, I think welfare and food stamps (although are sometimes abused) are a good thing, and I believe that as long as you aren't physically hurting someone or SERIOUSLY hurting someone emotionally, you should be left alone. All of that being said, it is really hard to find someone who agrees with me on those issues, but doesn't think that white people are all evil, Donald Trump is a fascist, and you should be able to say whatever you want regardless of someones feelings unless you are, like I said, SERIOUSLY hurting somebody. All of this makes me wonder, who the hell hijacked the democratic party? I don't get along with many liberals and I feel like they are seriously all cry babies. Growing up in a liberal house hold I admired the way that my parents and their friends seemed so smart because they would contemplate and talk about issues with logic and reason. Now, with my generation, it seems like all they want to talk about is who's offended and their feelings. Anyway, are there any liberals or even reasonable conservatives that feel the same way I do? Also, do you think the democratic party will ever get a grip and be reasonable and actually stand for something again? Thanks guys.

Best answer: There are two parts of the helmet that actually protect your head.

One is the outer shell (fiberglass or ABS or something like that). I can have cracks or other damage. You can crack a helmet just dropping it accidentally from waist height. Examine the shell closely, squeezing the helmet between your hands to make the cracks open up.

The other part is the EPS foam (Expanded Polystyrene). One of the answerers already said there's no evidence this deteriorates over time, but I notice that it does. New EPS foam is rubbery. You can poke a dimple in it with your finger and it will spring back. Older EPS foam can get hard and inelastic. (And this can make a helmet very uncomfortable! especially in the forehead area). If the EPS foam has hardened, then the helmet is no good.

Beyond that there's just comfort. If the liner inside the EPS shell is falling apart, the helmet won't be very comfortable.

Most helmet manufacturers put a time limit in their instructions--don't use the helmet more than 4 or 5 years, something like that. This is partly because of the EPS problem (I think) but also partly because helmets are being improved all the time and a 5 year old one is obsolete.

But my own helmet is 5 years old this year, and I love it and I'm sticking with it.

When I checked my transmission fluid for the first time it was it was dark brown. 50k miles later I decided to change the fluid for good measure. Online I found post stating that this is an indication that my transmission fluid is breaking down / needs to be replaced. I Found A really good post about flushing out all the fluid in my car. I didn't use the Toyota brand SW fluid but the stuff I used said it was compatible with Toyota SW. It took about 3 gallons of fluid to flush it out good and now my transmission fluid is clean and redish pink, I told my dad what I had done and he did not approve. He believes you should never change the transmission fluid.
