  • AAA Insurance policy: Hydroplaning on an incline, who is at fault?

San Diego-Driving down Baltimore, incline and wet road (rain) and going about 10-15 miles before stopping behind the car I hit. Who is at fault and why? Policy. Small crack in her bumper. I have a 2002 Toyota Corolla and she had a Nissan. I had medium damage to my left headlights and bumper.

I know the major companies all require 18+ in NY because of the contract, but is there any other place I could rent from that might not require that I sign a contract? Maybe from Craigslist or something along those lines? Does anyone else have experience with this? Thanks!! (Oh and by the way I know some people will say stuff like "no cause teens are bad drivers" - I am a good driver and I've been driving since age 15 so there is no need for comments like this)

  • Can I charge this car that caused me to have a flat tire?

So, I was driving and the car in front of me throws out an item. It is small but I ran over it and got a flat tire. Can I charge them for anything? I have their license plate number as well.

  • Should I get a transmission flush?

So my car just bit 100,000 miles and it's recommended to get a transmission flush. But when I went to my car dealership they had never performed one before. So my mechanic at a different shop, told me not to get one. Because it could cause major issues if it's never been done before. But my dealership... show more

  • Is my oil still good?

Okay, so I've driven 5000 mikes since my last oil change which is the recommended service interval, but my oil is still somewhat translucent. Now it's darker than when I got it last chanced but no where near black. It's a light brown/dark amber color. It's fully synthetic. Is it still good?

I work at a school and during school hours, someone stole an automotive part from my vehicle. Do you think the school would cover any of that since it happened in their parking lot ?

  • Financed car . Intrested rate is 22.47 what should I do? Credit score is 513?

Or did you trade-in a vehicle that you had not paid off yet? If you did not make much or enough down payment, you will be underwater until the loan is this paid off, which means that if you can find other financing when your credit score improves, you will need to come up with some cash for the difference between the new loan amount and the then current value of the car, because the car will depreciate faster than you pay off the existing loan that is already more than the value of the vehicle.

Just consider yourself lucky compared with another poster who judging from my calculations was paying 70% or more interest for 18 months on a $2995 car (which is more likely to also need repairs).
