• Would you wager with somebody in advance knowing that you couldn't possibly lose?

If you already know the outcome of a game of roulette and exactly where the ball would land, would you be confident to bet all your money on the throw of a dice?

  • How on earth can one lose five all-ins in a row in online poker?

Okay, I just played a low stakes HU SNG. Unbelievably, I lost five all-ins in a row to lose the match! I mean seriously? My opponent was a bad player, and I was able to make him fold a lot though pre flop raises and post flop bets. I had him down to less than one BB (or thereabouts), and that's when the madness started. In every single one of these all-ins, I had a stronger hand than him...but he won them all anyway. So what's the explanation for this? How on earth can one lose five all-ins in a row? I suppose the people here will just give no explanation and call me a bad player, like they always do. People here insist that the RNG's in online poker are all okay...yet time and time again this crazy stuff happens. These "Random" Number Generators sure do put up some crazy hands!

  • Why do people here give me flak for questioning online poker, considering the amount of ridiculous hands that I see time and time again?

Well, I played a couple of poker tournaments tonight (I have been playing cash games for a while), and once again it was a cacophony of odd-defying hands. (As expected.) In the first tournament, in a sample of just 32 hands, I had pocket tens beat by a straight, two pair beat by a rivered flush, and to top it all off, I shoved over a limp with KTs, he called with 73, and got a pair on the river. In the second tournament I built up a big stack. I doubled up in the first hand with QQ, then I doubled up again later with two pair against someone who called with top pair weak kicker and backdoor flush draw. THEN, I flopped the nut straight in a three way pot, this crazy guy with the shorter stack goes all in, the other big stack guy calls, I call, and the second has a flush draw and hits his flush. So I am crippled, a few hands later I go all in, and then I hit a flush to survive! (I have never seen so many flushes until I began playing on this site!) Honestly, I know people in this forum give me flak for questioning online poker...But some of the ways these hands turn out is unbelievable! It's so hard to take it seriously, and all I can do is laugh.

My nephew first of all is a good kid. He's a 28 year old kid who really never grew up. He is a shift manager at dominoes pizza. Recently he took a few days off, and went to a casino. He gambled several thousand dollars and lost everything. He had $7000 when he went in, and left with nothing. The guy is in pieces. He called me crying and telling me he thought he could win big, and he wanted to help our family with the winnings. He says he doesnt want to go back to work, and he feels like he's sick and might need to be checked into a hospital. Through his tears, he asked me to help him cover $7000 and bring back the money he lost. Im hesitant though because, even though he promised me he would never gamble again, he doesnt seem extremely sincere. I think it might just be because he feels so bad right now. Who's to say he won't go right back to gambling when I give him $7000? Also, $7000 is pretty heavy for me and my wife. We could give it to him, but it would really hurt us. I told him he would have to pay us back in 6 months but I'm not sure he could even do that... he's just a shift manager at dominoes. What would you guys do?
