I’m moving to London this Saturday and will be staying in Pimlico, few min walk away from Victoria Station. I know it’s a residential area, but is it safe to walk around mid-night. Also how is the place in general? Thanks.

  • Do they have a conductor on London Thames link?

I've started to travel a lot from Doncaster to London, and often I'd have to get changed at Peterborough in order to board Thameslink to London. From a couple of times Ive been on board, I've never seen a ticket conductor / have been checked for a ticket. Is this the usual case?

I am hoping to go to North Wales soon because I've been to Cardiff in South Wales which I loved. I've never been to the north so I was hoping to go there sometime this year. However I have looked at Welsh videos because I would love to learn the language aswell but Ive come across a lot of comments saying that the Welsh in North Wales in particular are very hostile towards English people and I've read some really derogatory stories from English people that said that if you go into a bar, they all ignore you and switch to Welsh because they are so fiercely loyal to the Welsh language and if you don't know any Welsh then they would refuse to serve you. Is that actually true? I really hope I'm not offending anyone but I've never been to the north part of Wales so I only know from what I've seen on comments. I'm really worried about the whole Anti-English thing. I've found people in Cardiff to be very friendly but that's the only part of Wales I went to. I've been to Scotland and Ireland many times and found everyone I met to be so lovely. I've also not heard as many negative stories with those two so I hope that my visit to North Wales would end up being just as enjoyable. But because of the stories I've seen, I'm starting to feel on edge. I'm learning Welsh and it's not perfect so I hope it should be okay. Is there also anything I need to be aware of before visiting because I really don't want to get on the wrong side of anyone. I'm always very cheerful towards everyone.
