I just graduated from high school and fortunately my parents allowed me to apply to any university that I Like. But recently they’ve been trying to convince me to stay in country and study there. I live with two siblings one of then has a very rare mental disability and I just so happen to be responsible for anything that happens to her, for shorts i make her food, put her to sleep, etc. I know that if I leave, my disabled sister would put a lot of weight on my parents. Regardless of how much i offer them, my parents keep treating me poorly in other words, they demotivate me, insult me, never reward me, always blame me. Now this all may sound like childplay or that I’m over exaggerating, but I actually thought of suicide on several occasions. For those who are worried I reassure you I won’t, but im still preplexed on whether I should stay or not, I want to help my parents, my father is near retirement and they barely are able to handle my disabled sister without my help which I gladly offer but in the end no matter how much I offer I always get let down and sometimes I feel like I’m taken for granted. Like my father insulted me because he had to go pick something I couldn’t pick up myself and because of it he missed a football match. Please i need to know whether i should stay in this country and help my parents but really suffer from depression because of it or leave the country and make a life for myself.

I'm planning to study abroad from the United Stated in Spring 2019. I'm currently majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. My study abroad advisor recommended these schools as they are partners with the college I'm at right now. He doesn't see a problem with me getting in the program with my current GPA (3.97) but said it would come down to what classes would transfer back but mainly personal preference. From what I know and have researched so far, both are extremely creditable schools -- Reading is a well-respected university about an hour away from London and Exeter is equivalent to an Ivy League school in America. What I'm thinking and am torn on is the fact that because I am studying abroad, I would love to get more of the city experience that Reading could offer due to its proximity to London. I don't want my experience to be all work, no play, and I know that Reading is still a reputable school. However, Exeter is extremely renowned for its business school. I feel like no matter what I'll get a new experience studying across the globe, but I really don't know how to compare these schools. I can't find anything comparing their business schools nor can I find anything that's pretty recent. I would love to hear current/past students thoughts on this. Thank you!

Last year my "friend" needed a phone because his was broken but he lives on other country. What he did was basically fooled me to buy a phone on my name. After I've seen he is not responding I've contacted the police and the policeman was abusive with me and threatened to put me in prison for things I haven't even done. Somehow I calmed him down and the guy had to promise he will pay the bills. It didn't happen. Now I am contacted by a debt collecting agency and of course I gotta pay.. But the problem is that I don't have any money, I have a 2 months old baby (no help from country for the child neither), I am jobless and can't even work because of the baby. I am near to commit suicide. I don't know what to do!

  • I want to go abroad for an advanced degree. I have an excellent result but I am broke. I cant even pay for my IELTS exam. ANY SUGGESTION?

Best answer: If you can't afford it, then studying abroad simply isn't an option.

Few scholarships for international students are full, and won't cover the full costs - eg moving, living, studying, flights, insurance etc.
