Scared to fly?
I've had reconstructive surgery done on my ears when I was a little boy, my hearing is fine now, I haven't had any problems with it in a long time. If I fly, is there a chance of my eardrum rupturing and me going deaf? Does a plane feel scarier than a roller coaster?

What does "Operated by" mean in Aviation?
Favorite Answer:It's a code share flight. A code share agreement allows airlines to sell its tickets on flights operated by other airlines. This allows an airline to "serve" a destination without actually flying there in its own aircraft. The second airline gets to carry more passengers (and get more revenue) than it normally would. A code share flight will carry multiple flight numbers on the Arrivals/Departures board at the airport, though for air traffic control it will use the host airline's call sign and flight number.
In your case you are flying on an Air India ticket in an aircraft that belongs to and operated by Air Mauritius. Contrary to el stapler's answer, since you are an Air India passenger, you check in at an Air India counter.
Many code share partners may operate joint counters, or Air India may operate a counter on behalf of Air Mauritius in India and Air Mauritius may operate a counter on behalf of Air India on Mauritius. This saves the airlines the costs of the ground staff.

Any direct flight to New York LaGuardia from London(no matter which ap in London)?
Favorite Answer:No. LaGuardia is used strictly for short haul flights. The only international service at LaGuardia is to and from Toronto and Montreal in Canada and Nassau, Bahamas.
LaGuardia is currently is in the middle of a major upgrade that will replace three outdated terminals with two brand new ones. It is better to stay away if you can help it until the project is complete.

Why is being a flight attended a good job?
It must be horrible having to eat the gross airline food, not being able to get any fresh air, having to sleep in coffin sized beds, having to work nights when you're sleep deprived and cranky. What women would do that?

Should I meet a friend who ha recently travelled and had taken the plane?
I mean because of coronavirus. This friend of mine has travelled from Europe to Asia, so he had taken the plane and been in many crowded places. He was tested negative in Europe as well as Asia, and now he supposed to self isolate for about 14 days. Would you meet him if you were me?
I will be taking the plane very soon and I don't want to be quarantined at the airport

Becoming a Flight Attendant?
Hi guys, I'm 18 & in September I'm going to college to study Travel & Tourism, afterwards, I hope to become a Flight Attendant.
I'm from England, but if everything goes smoothly, I'm hoping to be living in Louisiana, USA, by 2021, anytime after next July.
So I'd appreciate if both British & American Flight Attendants could answer my questions.
What is the training/assessment process?
How long after becoming a Flight Attendant do you start long haul flights?
Do you have to be pretty to become a Flight Attendant? I have been told by people I'm pretty, but I don't believe I am and I have only ever seen pretty Flight Attendants?
What are the benefits? Discounted flights, etc?
Is it a nerve-wracking job? I'm a confident and outgoing girl, but it even seems nerve-wracking to me, especially things like forgetting the safety announcement routine?
LASTLY, GIRLS, MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION, DO YOU HAVE TO WEAR THIN HEELS? I CAN ONLY WALK IN CHUNKY ONES SO DO I NEED TO START PRACTISING IN THIN ONES? AND DO YOU NEED TO WEAR HEELS THE WHOLE FLIGHT?
Thank you, I hope you and your families are all well during this time:)
