Best answer: You need to find a way to calm down because 'fear' actually takes up brain space. When you are feeling fear, you are not thinking about the questions on the exam - you tend to forget the answers, because the brain is focused on fear.
Definitely try deep breathing exercises - while focusing only on your breathing, take 10 deep slow breaths, through the nose. When we are calm, we tend to breathe this way, but it works in reverse - if you breathe this way, the brain becomes calm.
Also do some stretching, and try to spend time outside, even if it is just looking at the stars, or watching the wind blow through the trees - nature is calming. Exercise reduces stress.
Also, pep talks to yourself really work - say to yourself 'relax, relax, relax'
Lastly, I would suggest that you get to the root of your fear - fear of failure.. remind yourself that you have studied, and now all you can do is your best. If you fail, you will try again, it isn' the end of the world.

Best answer: What school teachers are terrified of school rankings and standardized test?

Many teachers are annoyed by rankings simply because there is no "right" way to rank a school. A huge problem was started by Newsweek when 1 writer decided to start ranking schools. All he did was take the number of AP tests taken by students at the school and divided it by the number of students at the school. While this may not be obvious to you, that is a horrible way to rank schools and all this did was make many states say, hey all of our students are going to start taking AP exams and we are going to pay for them.

Ranking based on standardized tests can be useful, but as with any ranking what is better. Is a school better if they have higher scores? Is a school better if they show more improvement?

Standardized testing isn't the enemy either, it is the implementation. We have gotten to the point where every student in school is taking many hours of standardized test and most students don't care because the results are meaningless to them.

Most are also meaningless to the teachers as the data is not received until well after the students are gone from their class.

Perhaps we should go with the European model where your entire future is based on standardized tests at the end of high school.

Best answer: Take out the tests you have taken. What kind of question did this teacher ask. What kind of questions did you get right. And what did you get wrong. What you got right is as important as what you got wrong when trying to evaluate your study skills
Find the answer for every one you got wrong. Where is the material found. Now how can your readjust your studies for their next exam.
Each teacher is different. Know what each teacher wants from their students.

Don’t cram for an exam. You need to be studying and getting to know the material everyday. Participate in class. Use what you ave learned. That is how you retain the information.

Study with other students. Good way to pick up other good study habits
Have a friend or parent quiz you. Oral quizzing can help
Study at the library, less distractions.
If you can annotate in the book while reading the text

You need to be able to understand the concepts. Then use the knowledge you have.
Talk to a friend or parent about what you are learning. Can you explain it.

Deal with the distractions. Don t be in your room, sit at the kitchen table. No phone. Put it completely out of the room. Ditto for the computer. No TV.
    Schedule and lists.
Make a list of every thing that needs to get down, each week and each day.
Schedule your week. Put in time for friend, relaxing or just watching YouTube’s. Know you have a schedule time for work and you will have time later for r&r.

Ok so I️ cheated on a test, fine whatever. I was told I would have a 0 for the test I cheated on which is fine and what I expected, well i’m also being assigned ISS (In school suspension) when no other kid who’s been caught cheating had to go to, they just got a 0, well I technically “admitted” to cheating on 1-2 past tests from 1st semester if any at all bc i️t would have been the beginning of the year and we’ll they’re also giving me a 0 on the next test that I will still have to take and no matter my grade I will still have a 0 even though I wouldn’t have cheated on i️t and taken i️t normal. So I’m getting 0’s for 1-2 of my next tests, getting a 0 on the test I cheated on (as expected), AND having to spend a day in ISS. I told the truth, didn’t lie or hide i️t or anything and i’m being punished 3 times? I’m also being taken out of national honor society.
