That IS strange. My Spybot actually cleans off what it finds. I am trying to cover the bases here, so I aplogize if you have already followed these steps. Have you updated the software? Have you tried cleaning off the computer in Safe Mode?

I am no expert but I suggest the following: Download Spybot off the web - you are likely to get an up-to-date copy of it. Download or purchase Trend Micro, which is an excellent security system for viruses, Spyware, and Phishing e-mail. Get a copy of Hijack This! and run some scans, then copy and paste the results to any of a number of tech help sites that can interpret that Hijack This! gobbledygook and give you complete answers as to how to clean your system.

try the antispyware of AVG from http://free.grisoft.com..

set the recommended action as delete and delete all the infected files...esp. since usually they're just cookies in your browser's temp folder...

    all the best...

also if you're runing XP then select the diagnostic startup when runnng msconfig.exe( start menu-run-msconfig) so that none of the files are in use when booted ...and also there is no networking enabled thus isolating your system from the net which usually ensures that all adware is ALWAYS active...along with worms...

Try to run it again, but in safe mode (hit F8 as the computer is loading). This may help find and remove more malware.
