    Styrofoam Beam

  • Never seen Styrofoam on a ceiling but here's the best thing I can think of...

Tap (very carefully - don't crack the plaster) just a few very small finishing nails into the ceiling. If you want to be especially careful, predrill the holes.

You can press the Styrofoam onto the nails to hold it in place.

Check the back of a bottle of Elmer's glue. I wouldn't think it would damage the foam.

Gorilla Glue, purchased at Home Depot.

Try "Liquid Nails Quick Grip". No clamping needed.

I love it. I used it to hold up 4 supports to hold

a shelf I put in. You don't have to find the studs, no nails

needed. GREAT STUFF. I keep it on hand. GOOD LUCK!!....

Get some contractor grade adhesive, it's made by Liquid Nails and you will need a caulking gun to apply it
