A combination of broccoli, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, lemon juice , dill and a little garlic tossed into your pasta would be nice with fish...Sherry N

Honestly, I would change your idea slightly. Serving green beans with a little bit of lemon juice and toasted almonds makes a wonderful veggie dish, and I would serve the pasta with a light pesto. Recipes for a good pesto can be found on line at www.FoodTV.com.

Here is one you might want to try:

1 1/2 cups fresh basil leaves (packed)

    1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

    1/4 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano

2 tablespoons pine nuts or walnuts, toasted

    1 teaspoon minced garlic

    1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1 pound dried or fresh farfalle pasta

In the bowl of a food processor, combine the basil, salt, and pepper and process for a few seconds until the basil is chopped. Add the cheese, pine nuts, and garlic and, while the processor is running, add the oil in a thin, steady stream until a mostly smooth sauce is formed. Transfer pesto to a bowl and set aside. (Note: Pesto may be made 1 day in advance and kept, refrigerated, in an airtight container, until ready to use. If making in advance, be sure to cover the top of the pesto with a thin layer of olive oil to prevent the pesto from darkening. Pesto may also be frozen in the same manner in small quantities for use at a later date.)

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook, according to package directions, until al dente. Drain pasta, reserving 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid. In a large bowl, toss pasta with pesto. Add a little of the reserved cooking liquid if pasta seems to dry. Serve immediately.

    Hope this helps

Pasta with Roasted Vegetables and Garlic Broth

    2 carrots, cut into 2 x 1/2 inch strips

2 bell peppers, cut into 1/2 inch strips

1 small fennel bulb, trimmed, cut into 1/2 inch strips

1 red onion, cut into 1/2 inch wedges

    12 large garlic cloves, unpeeled

    3 tablespoons olive oil

1 14 1/2 ounce can vegetable broth or low salt chicken broth

    2 cups grated Parmesan cheese

    1/2 cup chopped fresh basil

1 pound penne pasta, freshly cooked

Preheat oven to 400F. Mix first 6 ingredients in large bowl. Spread vegetables and garlic on baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roast until just tender, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes. Peel garlic and place in medium saucepan. Add broth and simmer until reduced by half, about 10 minutes. Combine roasted vegetables, garlic broth mixture, cheese, basil and pasta in large pot. Toss over low heat until sauce coats pasta but remains slightly souplike. Season with salt and pepper. Serves 6.

Brocolli is great with pasta, you may want to try spinach with a creamy alfredo sauce, what kind of fish are you having? You could compliment the sauce with wines too, if your going fancy. Red wines with white sauces. Also, how are you cooking your fish? Grilling? Use Rosemary... Etc...
