    Yes, possums climb trees.

I have many possums on my property, at night you can see them climbing the trees when frightened.

They crawl, along my phone line and run over my roof to climb my large trees behind the house.

    Noisy, little creatures.

Absolutely. Possums and raccoons can climb trees, climb steps, climb rock piles, climb fences...they would have no problem climbing into the bed of a pickup.

Yes they climb trees. They live there.

But sometimes they climb in and live under roofs as well and make lots of annoying scuttling noise when they move about in the roof. And because they are nocturnal, they make noise when us human try to sleep. Annoying little buggers.

But they are cute though- just don't try to catch and cuddle one as they will scratch you with their sharp claws and that would not be very nice.

Definitely. I've seen them climb trees to get away from dogs. At my house, I've seen them climb a tree to get on top of my roof.

They are excellent climbers. In fact, they spend much of their nocturnal life above ground.

They are strange looking, but they are very passive.

They are omnivorous...just like a bear.
