The government would have no say in religion, war, abortion, stem cells or any wedge issue.

Healthcare and education at all levels would be free. People would work 5-6 hour days on a four day work week. Technology would be dominant eveywhere. Cars would not require oil...and coal would not be used in any way anymore.

Corporations would be taxed heavily, and every citizen would be given work according to their education. Referendums would commonly be held on issues such as war or any other important national agenda. Entrepeneurs would be encouraged, but corporations taxed heavily. Athletes and movie stars would not be paid millions. Culture, not entertainment would be put at a premium. Traveling around the world would be much easier going from country to country. Wealth would be heavily re-distrubuted to lower income/working families. All people in the public sector would have the option of retirement at 55.

There would be free housing and transportation. Larger income families would have the option to buy a bigger house.

There would be no crime/guns. There would be few police. And police would also not carry guns.

Drugs would be legalized and taxed.

There is not a uniform one size fits all ideal country. This all changes with environment, economy, social values of the time, population, and resources. An ideal country would be an ever evolving thing and would be very different and just as valid for someone on the other side of the world.

One without whiners - I guess no Democrats allowed.

A republic, started after ugly war around 1776, strong

free enterprise economy, mostly Christian & whatever else people want to be - no blood sacrifice, cutting edge technology & science minus the concensus types - proved only as fact. No magic needed as it is the USA except we have whiners & unproved greenhouse effect.

a country without conservatism, thriving with capitalists and business enterprises... equal rights for all, and absolutely no repulsiveness towards scientific and technological innovation... oh yeah and no religion...

It would be the current United States with no liberals (or at least no liberals in power, we still need some comic relief).
