Conservatives bastardize the english language. There is nothing "conservative" or "pro-life" about them.

Conservatives don't want sex-ed or contraception made available...but they want to be able to force women to have babies in the name of their (hate) religion.

This is about control...and it's also about losing numbers in the population race to stay in the majority population in the United States.

You notice the conservatives posting here and everywhere else never complain about the 100,000+ forced abortions Iraqi women have endured due to our use of depleted uranium. Why the silence ? Because in conservative minds all potential children are created equal...but the potential white ones are created more equal.

As usual, the conservatives are on the wrong side...choosing ignorance, hatred and bullying over education and empathy.

Because pro life is not about the life of the fetus,,it’s about control. People who are pro life don’t support the children who are born to people who just can’t afford to have children. The right wing pro lifers don’t even want to put a penny out of their pockets to improve health care. There are 9 million children in America (the richest country in the world) who don’t have health insurance. Their parents can’t afford it. Bush a pro lifer voted to cut funding for programs that help single women returning to the work force with childcare assistance. What kind of pro life stance is that? Pro lifers aren’t about creating a humane society. They use a fetus as a political stance. It sickens me. They say people who have abortions are “irresponsible” but using contraception is being responsible and sometimes it fails. Instead they want to teach this abstinence only nonsense to kids. That will only increase the abortion rate.
Abortion is not a choice to be taken lightly. But sometimes there is no other choice. The pro lifers should get off their judgemental high horse, get over that “holier than thy” attitude and get real. Roe vs. Wade is here to stay. Even if it is over turned,,women will get abortions,,unsafe ones in the back allies and that would result in two deaths.

I think that it would be completely wrong and thoughtless to outlaw abortion. Woman having these abortions are someones daughter,sister,wife...etc. They are entitled to the safest procedure available to them. They are precious woman and need the right tools and doctors available to them. I agree with you completely and I know the thumbs down are coming but I can't see how a fetus's life is more important than these womens lives.

It's a messed-up world.

Abortion - IMO - is basically unnecessary, since at least the WOMAN should be capable of using any number of contraceptions properly, to prevent the pregnancy, let alone the man using a condom.

But it's also a matter of hypocrisy that the current administration is basically opposed to universal access to contraception and comprehensive sex education, which would only help to REDUCE unwanted pregnancies...

Outlawing any crime doesn't really prevent everyone from committing the crime. So by your logic should Murder or arson be legal cause the law doesn't stop people from doing it. My guess is that the amount of abortions would drop if it was illegal, but some women would do it anyways.

We live in a society that doesn't believe in preventative measures, but rather punishing people after the fact.

Education will prevent crime as well unwanted pregnancy. The solutions are simple and more cost effective than the punishments proposed.

Sorry, if abortion should be legalized then it needs to be legalized on a rational, ethical and moral foundation that it can stand on by itself.

they want to have more criminals in jail,more people on welfare and more government control. that way they never run out of things to blame libs/dems about. nothing to do with pro life,it is just more to fight about. i saw a person on here saying we should end welfare for those having babies and put the babies in foster care that they already have. fighting socialism with socialism.

that's exactly the reason, I think, abortion cannot and will not be outlawed. women will still seek abortions if that's what they are going to do. if it is outlawed they will go to illegal and unsafe unregulated doctors, or leave the country.
