Error 11 in Pioneer Mp3 car audio player?

A pioneer MP3 player is fitted in my car since Feb 2004. Of late when ever I am playing an MP3 CD, it plays for some time and then stops, displaying ERROR11.

Can someone tell me what could be the reason.?

Does the lens need cleaning? How do we do it.?

Does the lens need replacement? How much a new lens will cost?

Appreciate your responses.

NOte: I did google on ERROR 11. Didnt got anything of significance for car audio.

The problem here is you did not lis the model of mp3 player you are using which also threw off your google search but i checked with the pioneer site and found possible solutions. Check with your model to ensure the correct course of action.

This may be due to Dirt over lens.

Treatment: Take a clean Handkerchief, roll over any CD, and then insert it then remove it from your hand, Do this 4-5 times, then insert your CD to play..:)
