While doing homework and practice tests, students are allowed to use a tool that checks their answer and tells them if their answer is correct or incorrect. During two exams, the professor mistakenly left this tool active, so anyone could click on it and have their answers checked. If a student completed all the work, but used this tool to check their answers before submitting it for a grade, would that be considered cheating? Should students who used this feature that was left on mistakenly be given zeros for the test and failed for the semester?
