Is the AFC West really this bad?
We are a quarter of the way through the season and we have the Raiders, Chiefs and Broncos tied for first at 2-2...whilst the *ahem* lowly Chargers sit at 1-3.
Considering the Chargers and Broncos were both thought to be amongst the AFC elite prior to the season...is this simply a blip, or has the division fallen off this season more than most expected?

Terrible division by far...the Chiefs and Raiders are just rebuilding right now, so it's going to take time before either become serious contenders later on. The Broncos is still young...give the team more time before they can compete like during the Elway years. And the Chargers...wow, talk about dissapointment.
Along with the Pats, Steelers, and Colts, the Titans, Jaguars, Bengals, even the Browns and Texans are better than the AFC West. Any of those teams would woop the AFC West winner in the wild card playoffs.

They are that bad this year. The winner of that division will probably be 9-7. Norv Turner is a terrible head coach, and we're seeing it right now. The Chargers lost their head coach, offensive and defensive coordinators last year. So this whole system is Norv's now, and it stinks.

In transition. The Raiders are on the rise. There is plenty of football left, hang in there.
