Why are my hot water pipes and taps turning green?

    fill the sinks with vingar and really hot water, then release the stop, do this about 4 or 5 times, that should help

    That's called hard water deposits. You need to get a water softener system for your house to correct the problem. If you live in an apartment you more or less out of luck. I worked for a big name hotel that had that problem. And they were not going to put the money out for a water softener device. You can clean it like a poster above me said but it will keep coming back.

    A reaction to minerals in your water. Try cleaning with Vinegar.

    if they are copper it's corrosion try vinegar or CLR that should do the trick
