Whats a typical body builders meals consist of?

thinking about starting to lose some weight and body build, any one know of a typical body builders breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks etc?

    Agreed re. tofu = yuk, though that might not be a majority opinion here... Most restaurants seem to have menus on-line nowadays. Check out those of your favourites and see what the vegetarian options are for an idea. If you don't see much, or don't see much that you like, take a look at what can be altered without much fuss -- something like pasta with veg and chicken thrown on top can easily be just pasta with veg. Necessary vitamins: the cheapest multi-vitamin from the drugstore will do it, but you might want to check out something akin to 'Vegetarianism for Dummies' at the library and browse through -- some people, it seems, get a balanced diet without effort; some have to work a little harder. Some stuff I've eaten over the last few days: -- a 'breakfast burrito' sort of thing -- scrambled egg with salsa, jalapenos, sour cream, lettuce, bell peppers, green onions, cheese, in a flour tortilla -- pizza (gr pepper, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes) -- twice-baked potato w/cheeses, onion -- pasta w/pesto, artichoke hearts, tomatoes -- marinated and roasted zucchini -- bag of cheese and onion potato chips -- toasted English muffins w/tomato and hummus -- fruit yoghourt -- assorted candies -- vegetable soup (homemade w/asstd 'winter' veg), cheese on top -- etc With milk, a beer, juice, water, tea, coffee, etc. I promise there's no requirement to force down luke-warm lentils and tofu dogs...

    eat most carbs early in a day little in a after noon.

    eat aroung 1g of protein per 1lb body weight

    25% kcal's need to be from fat, good fats though remember 1g fat = 9kcal.

    eat fruit and veg but loads of protein such as tuna chicken and ostriche meat as these are lean, drink water and take creatine if you can afford it

    train hard

    6 meals a day, avergae size and healthy not fish and chips etc

    Bodybuilders eat 5-7 small meals a day, each meal consisting of plenty of protein.

    Meal 1 (7 AM)

    1 cup of dry oats mixed with water

    1 cup of egg beaters

    Meal 2 (9 AM)

    Meal replacement packet like Prolab's Lean Mass Complex (which has a 40/40/20 nutrient ratio) mixed with water or a protein powder (with around 40 grams of protein) mixed with 40 grams of carbs from cream of rice, grits, or oatmeal.

    1 Tablespoon of Flaxseed Oil (Spectrum brand is best)

    Meal 3 (12 Noon)

    1 cup of brown rice, or medium sized baked potato, or 1 cup of oatmeal

    2 cups of green beans, broccoli or any other desired vegetable

    6-8 ounces of chicken, turkey, or lean fish

    Meal 4 (3 PM)

    Same as Meal 2

    Meal 5 (6 PM)

    1 cup of brown rice, or medium sized baked potato, or 1 cup of oatmeal

    2 cups of green beans, broccoli or any other desired vegetable

    6-8 ounces of chicken, turkey, or lean fish

    Meal 6 (8 PM)

    Same as Meal 2

  • Oh wow, where to start lol. Well, man your gonna need lots of complex carbs, complete proteins, and healthy fats. I could go into detail but just do some research on its great. But if you dont feel like researching email me and i will help you out.

    Are you just sick of the standard diet programs had been right after the diet regime finish the further lbs are just coming and coming soon after finish the diet plan? Are you knowledge the reality that once your entire body will get utilized to a diet regime then this diet program turns into less powerful above time because your entire body adjusts to compensate?

    Eat smaller meals but eat more through out the day....about 5 times a day. Eat more protein...less fatty food and eat most of your carbs early in the day.

    Its mainly protein and carbs that build muscle

    Protein foods- chicken, red meat...milk actually has protein

    Carbs- pasta, potatoes, rice etc. Good luck!

    right after i exercise i have a protein shake...i usually put protein powder, yogurt, water, frozen fruit and ice (blend it up!) and it makes a good meal!

  • I think its all based on getting loads of protein
