Muffler with a bigger bore will only help a little. If you pair that with an opened up exhaust system, like some good big tube headers, then you'll get more power. But over all, changing the exhaust is just something to tweak a good engine, it isn't going to add much. Take out your air filter and put in a breather box instead and you'll get the most bang for your buck.

"an" aftermarket muffler can increase horsepower a bit. They can reduce backpressure which lessens the efficiency of the engine.

depends on what your looking for....the exhaust is the cheapest thing to change but the horsepower increase is minimal..just slapping on a muffler will make little or no change...the entire system will have to be changed to make a difference..but engine modifications and or a chip will make the most

No, a muffler dirperses the exhaust, it can do nothing to increase the power of your car.

This is very simple", "What? are you "looking" for. Are you running straight pipe. or "Thrush" or small mufflers. Unless you correct "air intake", with a clean burn", you will not increase horsepower. You just may "lose", alot; and "run with a "slight, "lug". Please "read" your "drivers manual". If you don't have one; "find", one. The "internet", has "all", your "real" answeres. "Keep, asking"; no question", is the "stupid one". "Good "Luck.
