Why is Thanksgiving celebrated on different dates between Canada & US?
I live in Canada celebrate Thanksgiving in 2nd Monday in October 8, this year--why does US celebrate it November 22?

Perhaps the legislators of the two countries when establishing dates for giving thanks had different reasons for counting their blessings.Our Thanksgiving was predicated on a date close to the time the pilgrims landed in the new world.As a result we celebrate the third or fourth Thursday of November.
