As a Canadian citizen Canada will not ever turn you away. However, cross the border as a Canadian citizen, not as a US citizen. Use your Canadian passport.

Since you are a Canadian citizen, I can't imagine you would have a problem. Canada restricts VISITORS with drunk driving, convictions, but they cannot deny entry to a citizen.

To make it easier you ONLY use Canadian identification (passport) when traveling back into Canada.
