amount of work done by 1 woman in 1 day = 1/x

amount of work done by 15 women in 1 day = 15/x..........(1)

1 man takes 100 days to complete the job

Amount of work done by 1 man in 1 day = 1/100

Amount of work done by 10 men in 1 day = 10/100= 1/10 ....(2)

10men & 15 women take 6 days to complete the job

amount of work done by them in one day = 1/6 ..........(3)

from (1), (2) & (3) we get

(15/x) + (1/10) = 1/6

(150 + x )/10x = 1/6

900 + 6x = 10x

4x = 900

x = 225

No. of days taken by 1 woman = 225 days

Let m = the work one man does per day, and

Let w = the work one woman does per day.

It takes a certain amount of work to complete the job, and we're told that this amount of work is 100m, and it's also 6(10m + 15w). So,

6(10m + 15w) = 100m

40m = 90w. So,

100m = 225w.

So, it takes one of these women 225 days to complete the job.
