The Holocaust essay... any improvements?

The Holocaust

One important historical event during the period of second world war that changed the lives of many, was the holocaust.

The holocaust was the effort of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party. The Germans exterminated the Jews and other people that they considered to be inferior. As a result about twelve million people, half of them Jews, were murdered. 500 synagogues were burned and most jewish properties were smashed. The first mass arrest of Jews also occurred and 25000 men were sent to concentration camps. As hilter came into power in 1933, his main aim was to exterminate all the opponents. Nazis supported the Anti-Semitism throughout the country. Laws were passed to reduce the power and position of Jews in the German society. In 1941, Germany attacked Soveit Union, home of 3 millon Jews. The German shot all of the inhabitants of the vallages. As hilter advanced into the Soviet Union, the pace of killing got faster, Over 33000 jews were shot in 2 days in September of 1941. The final solution was planned in 1942, when the the jews came in tranis and were sent to gas chambers saying that they will get showers and clean up themselves. But they didn't know that poisonous gases and insecticides were used in the chamber ,it killed all of them.. In Poland Jews were told that they were going into work camps but instead they were sent into the gas chambers. By June 1942 1 million jews were shot, 3.5 million were murdered in the gas chamber. In the last months of Nazi regime the prisoners were forced to march into the areas still under the control of Hilter. 1/4 of a million Jews died on these death marches.....

"The word Holocaust" means sacrifice by fire.

The Holocaust was the annihilation of the Jewish population by Nazis and hitler. The jews were persecuted by Hitler and the Nazis before world war two. The Nazis believed that the jews were an inferior race and did not want them "contaminating Aryan blood". When Germany invaded Poland, World War two began. During the war the Germans created the Warsaw ghetto. Jews were crammed into this and other ghettos. In ghettos there were too many people, and not enough food, space, or sanitation. The Germans also built concentration camps. In these camps people were worked to death or just gassed and killed. Many jews resisted the Nazis. Some fought the Nazis, others refused to go to camps and ran away. Some jews worked to preserve their traditions alive. Over 6 million jews died in the Holocost.

After the war survivors were put in Displaced Person camps. Here they were helped until they could find or be sent somewhere as a new home. Many jewish survivors emigrated to Israel or the US. Nazi war criminals were tried. Some were executed, and many served prison terms.

The Holocaust will go down as one of the most brutal genocides ever.

Mostly the essay needs re-arranging. I've added a few words, but other than that the modifications are simply your words. Good luck on the essay.

somewhat solid, besides the shown fact that basically a splash short. ideas-blowing grammar, descriptive vocabulary, a shiny occasion with the McD subject in the time of church service. extreme 4. once you used a private occasion out of your person life, it ought to look like much less of a rant.

You might name the other groups that were marked for death by Hitler as their numbers are not insignificant.
