PA's Home Surveillence Camera Laws?

Where can I find info on PA's home surveillence camera laws for exterior cameras? Are notices required? What if the camera catches part of a public street?

Shawn, I assume that this is in reference to the dog owner in Connellsville. Call Tom Corbett.

It really depends on how much coverage you really want. I use to work surveillance and we had about 5 hundred cameras. Back to the point if you have a camera what are you going to do if you see something. Personally I would stick with a motion sensor light. It is only about 20 dollars. There many wireless camera systems on eBay that also would do just five and even some you can run from a desktop.

You Municipality or county may have ordinances.

Here http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt? is the info returned from your State government page, but it is all edicts and press releases as far as I can skim. Some states have all laws listed.

I'd try the AG's search page here http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/searchResult.aspx and spell it like surveillance. If you can't find the answer, call them Monday.
