What is the meaning of the function f o g (fog)?

so i have a word problem and i have some troubles with it, and i wanna know if my answers are wrong or right.

C(x) is cost (in dollars) of x liters of paint

A(x) is amount (in liters) pf paint needed to paint an area of z square metres.

H(t) is the number of square metres that can be painted by one person in t minutes.

A) What is the meaning of the function C o A?

i wrote that its the cost (in dollars) of paint needed to paint an area of square metres.

B) What combination of these functions tells you the cost (in dollars) of paint used by one person to paint for t minutes?

I said C o H

If anyone can give me some help i would greatly appreciate it .

    Your answer to A) is completely correct, as C o A is the same as writing C(A(x)).

    As for B, well you would need to determine the number of litres that the painter uses per minute, which is A o H, and then multiply this by cost, so I believe the answer would be C o (A o H).
