Has anyone caught their ISP accessing their personal computer?

I caught my Internet Service Provider turning on my computer when it was off in the middle of the night. I traced the source of this invasion of privacy back to my ISP with the use of an access monitoring program that recorded the whole event and saved it.

They can not do this. If you have a router your router would prevent the inward connection. If using a USB modem there is no way to wake the machine. If you have a LAN connected modem and allow wake-on-lan, any stray signal around the internet would tend to trigger the wake event.

    Right.

Maybe you should turn off "wake on lan."
