A New Yorker is from the state of New York. What about other states?
These are the other ones I know: Texas = Texan; California = Californian; Alaska = Alaskan; Hawaii = Hawaiian; Alabama = Alabaman. What is a person from Connecticut or Maine or Massachusetts called? I'd like to know for every state.

My favorite is Floridian because it sounds like a race of people in a Star Trek episode "Captain, we are being hailed by the Floridians."
My second favorite is New Mexican. (somebody from New Mexico)

A person from Massachusetts is called, believe it or not, a "Bay Stater". We often refer to each other affectionately as "Massholes".
