What does it mean when doctor wants to do a bone marrow?

    A bone marrow aspiration is used to check for blood/bone marrow diseases like leukemia.

    The doctor will numb an area, likely on your hip, and then insert a special aspiration syringe to take a sample of bone marrow for testing.
