i am using photomatix, havent been able to get the right plugin to get the raws to work with cs3.

The first two don't seem the right subject matter for the technique, but I think you hit the nail smack dab on the head in the last two.

I'm liking both #3 and #4 (the truck)... are you using Photomatix or Adobe?

Number three is excellent.
It definitely puts a new twist on the cliche' "tree lined street" image. Nice!
