HRT can you believe they goofed in their research?
Ladies how do you feel about this new information which wasnt made public?
Apparently the research done on the HRT was not exactly correct is saying HRT increased risks of breast cancer in ALL women.
The study was done on women OVER the age of 65 and as such has no relevance to younger women, or early post menopausal women.
Does this make you consider revisiting your doctor and the issue of HRT?
I also found several medical news articles on it, interesting I never saw it on any tv news. They say it is safe on women between 50-59 if taken for only a few years, and it is proven to protect from bone loss and to reduce heart disease -

After a hysterectomy hrt saved my sanity.
I started taking it at 49 and stopped at 59
What they didn't tell me was that all the symptoms
I had at 49 would return when I stopped taking it at 59.
Its good to read that at least I took it when it was safe
to do so.
I felt fantastic while taking it and would recommend it to anyone
I just wish it had been safe to carry on.

The article seemed to deal with the problem of rumor, non- scientific based opinions, customs and old traditional tales. I don't think my doctor would base her doctoring on these sources. She is up to date on her gyn information IMO. I like her and trust her and she is always up front about my concerns and talks about where she gets her opinions and backs them up. So we have had this discussion and I'm o.k. with it.Source(s): Lona's world
