Why did Mark Sanchez want to leave USC at an early time? Don't you think he needs more improvement?

I was hoping Mark Sanchez could stay so he could be a Heisman Trophy contender next year, but not anymore since he is leaving, why did he want he want to skip his senior year at USC? Matt Leinart and John-David Booty did not do that, anyway, what made him decide to leave early?

Update:

He only started one full year at USC, while Leinart played 3 years, and Booty played 2, I say he at least needs another year of improvement, but oh well, too late.

Because all the other highly touted QB's are going back to school. This way he can be a higher draft choice, and make more money. If he waited till next year, he would have been drafted behind Tebow, McCoy and Bradford. Now, he will be the second one taken(Stafford) and most likely in the top ten. Good move on his part.

as a USC fan i would have loved for him to stay and lead us to glory next year...but then again who can pass up on the opportunity to make at least $10 million in guaranteed money if not more...you have to be aware that this was his 5th year at USC and he already has his degree...he is about 22-23 and his pals from freshmen year Rey Maulugua and others will also be leaving...you knwo what i mean...he has his degree he is probably the oldest player on the team and to top it off next year will probably feature tebow and bradfors and mccoy...tru sanchez could stay and very well show that he is better then them or he can get injured...

He got when the getting was good. As soon as McCoy, Bradford and Tebow decided to stay for their senior years he knew all he really had to compete against was Stafford. He stays for his senior year and his draft positions drops because of the other quarterbacks in the draft.

good question he left because he knew their was a weak qb class and he could steal some money most have him as the #2 qb in the draft now.He definitely needs more playin time in college because he only started 1 full year.

He's pretty much a shoe-in for the #1 pick. Then again, this is the Lions we're talking about...#1 pick will be some random guy from Alaska.
