On another shot, the black ball hits the rubber cushion at a speed of 3.0m/s. The black ball depresses the cushion 0.62cm while coming to momentary stop

    the total kinetic energy is conver ted to the compressed energy of the rubber....so

    (mv^2)/2 = (kx^2)/2

    here m is mass of the ball, v is the initial velocity, k is the spring constant and x is the value of compression=0.62 cm

    so put the values and get the answer

    Awww... happy Spring to you too!!! What makes me think of of spring is the smell of unpolluted sparkling air, plant life, gardens, incredibly floral spring looking dresses and footwear, sunlight shining!!!!!!!
