About how long would it have taken for a ship in the 16th Century to go from France to Queensland, Australia, if it goes around the bottom of Africa?

You can say 1 year to 1 1/2 year maybe more depending the waters. The cape of Good Hope was only a hoax it really had a lot of storms.. Most of the time it would stop by India for an extra 1-2 months to trade for spices.

With good wind and well built ship with speed you can get to 30-45 knots.
