Will the U.S. have to straighten out its banking and financial sector before there is any hope of a recovery?

Craig C, If the government stays out of it aren't you worried that there are going to be more huge failures of companies and a recession will lead to a depression?

    Without a doubt the banking and financial sector need some straightening out. The trouble is that they've become such an integral part of the government that the government is more concerned with them than the citizens.

    Yes and the best way to do that is for the government to stay out of it.

    The banking/financial system did not cause this problem. Not being fiscally responsible ( something we all share blame for ) is the problem.

    yes, inject what cash is needed, and as little as possible and let them handle the rest,,,, it appears to already be working,,,, so why spend another trillion,,,,,T
