can you help solve this trig identity?

[sin ^2 x + 2 cosx - 1] / [2 + cosx - cos ^2x] =1/1+sec x

    LHS=

    (1-cos^2x+2cosx-1)/(2-cosx)(cosx+1)

    =cosx(2-cosx)/(2-cosx)(cosx+1)

    =cosx/(cosx+1)

    RHS=1/(1+(1/cosx))

    =cosx/(1+cosx)=LHS
