I'm thinking of becoming an environmental engineer since I am greatly interested in the environment. My best subjects in school are math, chemistry and physics. What does the daily work of an environmental engineer involve and which skills are required the most? Does this career require being away from home for long periods? Any help would be appreciated.

any job, it depends who you work for
some companies you sit on a chair and 20 years later you will still be there if you don't complain.
find work at a company that has customers all over the planet if you want to travel.
