Who knows the most about Canada (part 1 0f 4)?

Part 1 of 4 series... Good luck my trout...

1) Who was Canada's first Prime Minister?

2) This actor was a native of the Kingston/Ottawa area before heading to NYC to join the original crew of SNL... You may know him as Elwood... Who is this actor? (more hints:wrote stared in Ghostbusters, Trading Places, as his own wine company...)

3) Died on a plane in June 2, 1983... A upcoming folk singer, with a lovely low voice... He died on a plane that caught fire... He left the craft but returned to help those left behind and never came back off... Who was this guy?

4) Food that consists of fries, gravy, and cheese curds. What is it?

5)) Deep fried batter, topped with butter and cinnamon... But could put other goods on top... What's it called?
